So I pumped yesterday for first time after he ate.. got only 2 ounces..but I have been engorged and leaking today.. he will eat long enuf for relief bit thats about it.. im gonna pump today..here in a lil bit...

I also bought some things to help w milk production too.. I want to have a big supply too for when I need to go back to work or just to run errands etc. .

Had 1 wk appt today.. hes 2 ounces short of his birth weight..guess hes getting plenty

Violet today at 11 days old weighed 6 lbs 8 oz

She was 6.5 at birth & 6.2 Monday- they were shocked at her weight gain lol. She likes to eat like her mama

I have a fussy little lady yesterday and today. Maybe it's just my lack of memory for what a newborn is like, but she sure is hard to burp, spits up a lot (sometimes it seems it's the whole "meal" she just ate), and can be fussy. The first three weeks were a cinch, it's getting harder!

DD gained 14 oz in the first week on breastmilk alone, lol. The pedi was joking that we need to put her on a diet.

Carter went in for his check up at 5 days and was already 8 lbs 4oz., which is 2oz. Over his birth weight. They seemed happy though.

That's awesome all these babies are doing so well to get back to birth weights and more so quickly... good reassurance..

My ds has trouble sleeping in his bassinet. .. he won't lay there for more than 10min before crying. He slept very well last night but he was laying on my chest while I slept on back.. then the next 3hr shift I had him on my legs... this is a problem I know.. not sure how to fix it... he wont be able to do this as he becomes more mobile. And we don't wanna spoil him. But seems we r well on way.. any suggestions? ?

Wish I had some advice, my little guy also sleeps in my arms while I'm on the couch. As much as he is feeding,I find it easier plus he sleeps for more then an hour. He wouldn't sleep in that clear box thing in the hospital so I held him and slept. We came home yesterday and he was still spitting up amniotic fluid bad and I was scared he would choke so he slept in my arms. I have the fish price rock and play and he doesn't like it. He does well in his swing.

DD hates sleeping in her bassinet as well...it's one of the pack n play ones. I've put it so it's against my bed (they're the same height) and set her right next to me. I also have one of those soundspa things and I put it on the heartbeat sound, which she seems to like. Swaddling and a paci (I use the soothie ones) seem to help as well.

Violet will cry off and on for like 30 min and then is fine- try just putting the paci in his mouth. I fell asleep with her like the 3rd night we were home & woke up frantic making sure she was still breathing- I co slept with my son but have a friend whose daughter passed that way and am not chancing it this time.

Hi ladies! Congratulations to all you new mommies! I had a lot to catch up on as I've been without internet for the last 2 weeks!

Izaak is now 4 weeks old! Time is flying by sooooo fast! He was slow to start regaining his weight, but is on the right track now. Was 6 pounds at his 2 week check up and today weighs 7 pounds. Nursing is going well, but because he waited so long to start gaining weight, his doctor had me start supplementing. I'm okay with that, but hoping I'll eventually be able to get off the formula.

Anyway, here are a few pictures for you from Christmas and one taken a couple days ago. This little guy has definitely stolen my heart. <3
