I have to pump.. I already have probably 20 oz in the freezer, I have a lot of milk and was told by the lactation consultant to pump so that I didn't get knots and turn into mastitis.. I would start pumping- the more you pump or feed the better your supply will be anyway

I had the same problem! DD wanted to nurse every half hour or so sometimes, and only for like five minutes at a time. So for the first couple days I was painfully engorged and ended up with some clogged ducts...but it cleared up after a couple days. I ended up having to pump some because I was just so uncomfortable and leaking everywhere. I would also take a hot shower and hand express some.

Ladies that have had their PP check up and aren't on any form of birth control, when you went in for your check up did they run a pregnancy test without your knowledge? I just want to see if this is normal procedure, I know they will do this if you are planning on getting on some sort of bc but wanted to see if they do it regardless.

I just pumped for first time today after he ate.. but he had been falling asleep too but I was really nervous bc I did not get engorged. .. w my others this was a problem but that was pre implants. ..so im gonna try to do things to make sure my supply is good... still praying that. These implants cause no problems bf tho.. he's finally eating more and I can tell my supply is building. . Little afraid of pumping now tho bc I would hate to not have enuf in breasts if he gets hungry sooner than I expect.

I ended up pumping a couple of ounces before I went to bed as was really worried about mastitis. I was just worried that if I pumped then it would only make me produce more. Feel better today though! How have you been getting on?

We're doing great! Wishing time would slow down- but enjoying my babies  

Ugh trying to find a new daycare is SO stressful!! Finding the right provider, close enough to your house, for the right price, with the right program seems impossible right now!!

I agree. Finding a daycare/babysitter sucks. We got lucky and my brother found one for his kids so we went with them as well. We are really happy with them so far. Good luck!

It seems like no matter how much I pump or how close it is to the time he decides to eat there is always something left for him. I have a great supply this time though. I am building a supply in the freezer just in case something should happen. I also want to have plenty to take to the babysitter's once I go back to work. Don't want my little man to starve when I'm not there to feed him.

Do you still have to pump now then or did it settle down? Going to have to pump again tonight as have the same problem where she's full but so are my breasts!

Natalie had her 1 month check up today!

She now weighs 7 lbs 12 oz a total of 2 lb gain, she is become a little chunky monkey! She is 20 3/4 long in length. She also got her second HepB shot, which she didn't like at all. Since she still has a bit of her cold still her doctor gave me a script for something to help with her not to be so congested. So hopefully I'm able to fill it since her insurance put the wrong PCP and I'm now currently waiting for her card in the mail still.   Her 2 month appointment is scheduled for January 28th.
