i haven't yet, but it does feel that way.... i dont even want to look at a january due date thread bc I would bet those births are starting to roll in on the message boards too..... it's like the waiting game now.. who will be next???  

I'm hoping this little lady comes on her own- she's got me at a 4... What is she waiting on? Haha   congrats to the new little babies born! Too cute !

I'm getting induced on my due date!!!! Tuesday night I go into the hospital and Weds morning I get induced. I am scared bc I heard contractions are way worse when you get induced but I am so ready to meet my baby girl. My induction is not medically needed but it is needed for other reasons.

1. I don't have my own car got in an accident when I first got pregnant and can't afford to get a new one   I've managed to get up to the hospital when I need to but sometimes it takes hours to find a ride if my dad is at work and sometimes I've had to resort to going to the smurffy hospital here in town where they don't know their head from their asses and are catheter happy and all kinds of stupid (my hospital of choice is about 30 minutes away). This way my dad can just take me to the hospital when he gets off work.

2. I'm stuck at a 1 and 70% effaced been stuck at a 1 for over a week and my mom was way overdue with both me and my brother and had to be induced so it's looking like i'd probably end up getting induced either way.

3. I am kind of terrified of laboring at home becuase of all the things that can go wrong like what if she gets her cord wrapped around her neck? the hospital here in town is full of idiots like I said and they are also not equiped to handle severe trauma or NICU conditions. My friend had a stillborn at the hospital here in town and I blame it on the medical staff. I just feel much safer being at my hospital which is known for being one of the best hospitals in the state for giving birth at and has 4 different NICU levels.

4. I went into the hospital last friday with severe back pain and they had to give me moriphine and other pain meds through an i.v. and then they sent me home on saturday only for me to have to come back sunday and be prescribed hydrocodone. I really hate taking medication like that while pregnant but I can't handle the pain. I try to take tylenol instead of the hydrocodone when I can but I feel guilty everytime I have to take a pain pill which lately has been daily.

I feel partially guilty about inducing but I have weighed the pros and cons and really feel that it is what is best for both me and baby.

I was 41 weeks and almost 4 days. I felt like he was never going to come!! So happy lol.

If you really want to breastfeed I would contact the hospital to talk to the lactation consultant! The one from my hospital wasn't there over the weekend so she called me to make sure everything was going okay and offered to meet me at the hospital if I ever needed to.

It's nice to have the support of people who can help! I think that was a big reason I couldn't do it with my first. I have a lot of friend/family support from people who have actually done it successfully.

Hospital told us before we left that most babies get back to their birth weight 2 weeks after birth.

Dexter left the hospital 4 days ago at 6#13oz. Today he was 7#6.5 oz!

Kid likes the boob. He's passed his birth weight in less than a week lol!
