Apparantly...

You're a bad role model, horrible example, a bad Mom, etc... if you drop out of HS to get your GED and go on to college rather than wasting a few extra years going to HS for a diploma when you can just as easily get your life on the freeway and save time and money by getting your GED and going to college.

I'm just informing you of what I've heard.

Also, you're all bad Mothers if you DON'T put your children in daycare because it's the thing these days, children learn to share [and kidnap] in daycare, so daycare is what's best for your child and your opinion doesn't count.

Just letting you guys know what I've heard.  

Well I did graduate from HS... and have my diploma but I worked in a daycare for two years and now that I'm a mom, my daughter has never set foot in one! I would rather die. LOL Daycares are a good place if you have no choice and have to work to provide for your family, but optimally, your children are better off at home with a mother who loves them and teaches them and disciplines them appropriately, not a room full of children and a frusterated teacher who is not allowed to correct them!

Well I guess I am a bad mom. I am soo not putting my daughter in daycare. Oh no. With what I have heard about them. Nope. No way. And then a little girl was kidnapped from a daycare about two or three weeks ago by a woman who had her own child take away from her. She wanted to pretend that little girl was her's. And the people who owned the daycare did not even do a background check on this lady before they hired her. As far as the GED thing...I got my diploma so I guess I am only half bad....I guess

Lol, agreed about daycare! And I'm glad you actually have your diploma :] I'm not saying every teen Mom should immediately drop out and get their GED so they can go to college and get their life onf the fasttrack.... Just saying it's easier when you're in desperate need of saving time and money =P When you have no other option because you DON'T want to shove your child into daycare.

I thought theres an extra test you can take to get your hs equivalency... thats not bad and a GED is better than nothing... it really doesnt matter what people say... let them talk. as far as daycare goes wow...

Lol, I don't think I'll be a bad role model just because I got my GED and went off to college as long as I FINISH college, which is the plan XD

well i graduated from hs early but it was hard work
but i dont think its bad to get your GED its better than not getting anything

That's my point. I could have dropped out and not done anything with my life... But I am. So I don't get why people are on my case.

I never said you were a bad role model (and I never said that you were a horrible mother! If you're going to fucking quote me do it right) because you didn't finnish high school and were GOING, being the operative word here, to get your GED.... Either one is fine... it's the fact that don't give a shit about yourself that really sucks. So don't post a thread about shit that I said if you're going to get it wrong because it makes you look like a dumb ass.

I was attempting to homeschool myself so I could stay home and take care of my son while working for my actual diploma but it turns out that the expensive program I chose to educate myself with was too confusing to handle and the software didn't work on my computer... I just said screw it once my son came and now plan on getting my GED instead.

My child wont be going to daycare. Thank god I am in a situation where she can be taken care of by a parent or grandparent!

If I was talking about you specifically I would have posted your username. Seriously hun, that wasn't meant to offend you. It's actually coming from a variety of what people said.
I do care about myself and I care about my child most of all, and that's why I'm working on our future. I want to give my son the best I can but by sitting in school for 2 more years trying to get my diploma is a waste of time, I could be in college trying to graduate and get my degree and a good job so I can move out and begin my life on my own with my son.
