lactation specialist/ medicaid

does anybody who has medicaid know if lactation specialists are covered by medicaid? do they need to covered? or do you pay out of pocket?

I'm not sure, but I think La Leche League has lactation consultants who are free...? At least in our area they do. I'd check into that. Or if you can find one through your hospital, I'm sure medicaid would cover it like any other appointment. I'd hope so at least!!

cuz they ask in my birthing plan if i want to meet with a specialist and i didnt know wat to put cuz i didnt want to end up w/a big bill!

Medicaid benefits differ by state you should google your state medicaid find a website and see your benefits...I know in Florida Medicaid is better than having a PPO or HMO
