Please pray for my city....

Chicago is out of control. Its not just young black men being targeted anymore, its children,pregnant women, anybody who is there at the time. Nobody is spared anymore,nobody is safe. And its children doing the killing. I have 14 year old and 19 year old brother,I fear for them everyday. I wish I could just move my whole family out of there. The city I used to love is becoming a hell on earth. And the police have done NOTHING about it.

I have family there and I've been hearing about everything going on there. The whole bandana thing and others. I love Chicago but it wasn't where I wanted to raise my son because of everything that happens there.

Its scaring me so bad..Im four hours away at school,my anxiety is sky high daily.

And to think Chicago is the only thing that matters in IL.   Come move to Southern IL where everybody has guns but nobody kills eachother.

Thats where I live now...I go to school here. As boring as it is,and as much as I complain,I never think twice about walking outside when its pitch black. Ive never feared for my safety here.

I would pray for chicago I will help chicago to get these kids and adults out of gangs and help stop the violence number 1 reason I do not go down there anymore only if I have too! I feel unsafe living an 1hr 30min away from chicago because we get all them that come from there up here too!

That is just insanity. I can't even begin to imagine that.

I remember my husband wanted to move back there after I graduate but I refuse to. We're perfectly fine here. My son can play outside and I don't have to worry about if he's safe or not.

Its sad. These arent adults shooting. These are kids aged 13-17.The higher ups are having them do all of the dirty work to keep their hands clean.My brother starts high school in September. And I swear I will die before I let him get sucked into that smurf.

The summer WILL be the worse. It's sad how kids these days are raised to think being "gangster" is cool and killing people is a good way of life.

Curiosity is killing me. Where do you live at? The kids an I were going to move up to Chicago for me to do midwifery school, but we are thinking about Southern Mo now.
