Considering your child isn't even a month old yet, a 4 oz bottle should be more than enough for a feeding, if not a little too much. So it makes sense that it's taking you an hour to pump that much.

I have the medela double ease breastpump and I love it.

All I was saying is it makes sense that you are only pumping what your child would eat in one sitting. What would be more helpful to you is if you pump more often instead of longer. It's not the duration of the pumping time, it's how often you do it.

You said you were having trouble getting more than a few ounces out in an hour's worth of time. I'm explaining to you WHY that may be the case. I also posted what kind I personally use. You might want to try taking my advice instead of being defensive as I'm NOT being bitchy with you... yet.

so "Considering your child isn't even a month old yet, a 4 oz bottle should be more than enough for a feeding" wasnt intended to be a smartass response then right?

Anyways... My friend used an evenflo breastpump. I don't really know what it was called, I just know it was a double, electric one. It worked really good for her while she breastfed.

You're taking it out of context. 4oz's is more than what your daughter would eat in one sitting SO IT MAKES SENSE that's all your pumping in an hour

HORMONES!!! Just breathe, you just had a baby.   I was lucky enough to have a Medela double breast electric pump given to me. (I bought completely new parts to it though) I loved that breast pump though. It is a bit expensive. I think I've seen it cheapist on Amazon.com.
