It's starting to smell terribly and I clean it as the doctor said but it still smells any suggestions? I also have another concern my sons scalp gets really dry due to the helmet and I'm wondering if there's anything anyone has tried that has helped with that? And last question does anyone have any simply decorating ideas for his helmet it's just plain white. Any comments will be helpful
my first DD had the helmet. we used stickers to decorate it. as long as it doesnt cover the venting holes. i used baby shampoo to clean the helmet and it took the stink away. as for your baby's dry scalp. i used a little bit of baby oil ( in the gel form) and cradle cap stuff. i hope this helps momma.

The baby oil gel should I mix it with his cradle cap lotion and put it On 1st before putting the helmet on or should I put it on wait for it to dry then put the helmet on?
my baby will probably have to wear the helmet (or actually two they say. one after the other). Is it really that bad??
I am soooo not looking forward to this :_( She was five months when I took her to the helmet specialist and now I am waiting it out to see what happens but looks like she's gonna have to get it. I tried laying her on her sides and seems like things are changing but not quite for the best.
