4 cm....How much longer?

So I went to the dr yesterday and she said I am dilated to a 4 and 90% effaced. She said my cervix was up front and the baby has dropped. Lots of Contractions, Bulding Water baby. This is my 3rd delivery in 3 yrs...My question is, what was your time period of 4cm to delivery? My parents are in town this weekend and it would be "ideal" to have him this weekend....any advice?

It took no time 4 me. Try going for a walk.

I had him the same day i was 4 centimeters.. i just say be ready to go because you're gonna go naytime now. so dont be shocked if you within the next day or 2 BUT some people get stuck ata certain number. good luck and

Already... gzzz.. it seems like everyone that is due after me is popping out there little ones... i have been patiently waiting too   I have a doc appoinment on monday...
Try walking it will help things along since you are so far

my doc told me once u hit 4 it goes fast! walking will prolly help! good luck

With my first I was 4 cm for about 3 weeks and then had to be induced. My second I was dialting off and on (pre-term labor) for a few weeks and I was 4cm at 34 weeks and then I was 6cm at my 36 week check-up. (needless to say they admitted me to L&D right after my appt. and I had her the same day! )

I went from 4cm to 10cm in not even an hour for my first one. Once I hit 4cm it was like BOOM 10 lol. I heard sex helps, try humping LOL

Well, I was thinking that but then I got to thinking...my chances of ever getting laid again would decrease if he broke my water during sex.

When I went to the hospital I was 4cm at about 4:30am and started pushing at 9am with out being induced. so it might be almost time for you. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

When I went to the hosp I was 4-5 cm dialated and with in 15 mins I was complete and they were breaking my water and having me push. I had a bulging bag of water and all that too. I had a super fast delivery expecially it being my first time but I would say it shouldnt be too much longer for you!! Good luck!!

Thats a long time to wait! Happened within 4 hours for both my pregnancies.Maybe your body and mind are ready but baby just needs a few more hours for the finishing touches.At least something is happening and its a bit early so your'e lucky. Spare a thought for the rest of us that have weeks to go. You will be holding your baby very soon. TIP: Eat something greasy to get labour going. What ever gives you the runs. A big worx burger worked for me the second time and KFC did the job with my first. Good Luck!
