7yr old hitting puberty

okay ladies this is for all the moms that have youngdaughters who are reaching that age where thier body starts changing or already have gone thru it. let me giveu the low down. okay i havea 7 yr old who turns 8 in june. a few months ago she started to complain that her breast hurt (just one right now) and i looked at it and i said well stop touching it. i felt it, it was hard. so i figured okay she's starting to get breast. (at 7yr u know i'm freakin right) so i just said we will watch it for now. well this week i noticed that u can now see it thru her shirt and its bigger. mind u its still just one. i felt it its still hard and she said it hurts. now it did this b4 when she was 4 and the doc said it was normal and to just watch it. it went down until now. my mom and my sis said that i should take her to the doc and have her checked. okay so i need to know from the ones that has experienced their daughters or can remember themeselves cause i cant remember whn mine started or what it looked like or if it was just one at a time. or what. Is this normal?

If it's only one breast and it's happened before I don't think it's normal. I'd take her to the doctor.

Well, first of all, it is possible that she is going through puberty this early.

Have you checked her armpits and her vagina for hair? If she's got some hair sprouting, I'de take her to an Gyno to get looked at so they can make sure that everything is progressing normally.

When I got my breasts, I got one and then the other, so it could be it. It took like, three months for the other one to catch up. But I already had hair sprouting.

If you're worried at all, I'de take her to the doctor though. You never know.

i knew someone would bring up hair. she had black hair on her muchacha at birth!!! i'll see about the arm pits

I remember them being a little tender at the very beginning but I don't remember it being hard and mine grew at around the same rate. I would go to the doc just the get her checked but I hope that it is just time for a training bra

I would take her to the Gyno to get checked out, mama. Sounds like she's going to hit it early!

well i'm not ready for the Gyno, but i will take her to pediatrician. it sounds like its hittin early. i hope so and thanks

I was wearing a bra in the 3rd grade...8/9 years old 
I needed it too...they were small but were bouncing and u could see them thru my shirt.....I wasn't wearing underwire until I was a teen though

I was getting hair there and down there at about age 8/9

so it is normal. i shouldn't worry too much or take her to the doc. cause thats what the docs gonna say too.

i hit puberty early too. i started my period when i was in the 4th grade so i was...8 or 9. my chest grew at different rates too, they still are lopsided   shes probablly just hitting it early, but if her chest continues to hurt, id take her for a checkup. good luck
