if you don't already try to buy hormone free milk and meat, it causes early puberty. Also I'd give her some pads and explain all that jazz, scary but we had a girl start at 8 at my old job, she was freaked out and didn't tell anyone just hide on the playground.

I know I wouldn't want to, but you could keep it realy simple. Hopefully she wont have to many questions yet...

I dont' understand why kids seem to hit puberty early now but i hear about it alot. my oldest is 10 and my youngest will be 9 tomorrow and they (especially my oldest) put me in the mind of teens or hitting puberty soon. Lord I really hope not. I remember hitting puberty!! It just can't be my babies are almost there! It's sad AND scarry to me

It was more like wishful thinking. I know I would have had tons of questions. My Mom had the talk early with me, because my sister started at like 10 and was totally unprepared, Well I had a million questions, and I didn't start until I was 15!

her responces to me we're very generic though. She basically said. If you bleed, you wear this. I was like WHY would I bleed, and she said. Oh Women bleed from there every month, so if you do, you just wear this pad. Then she showed me ho to wear the pad. I had more questions, but it never went much more into detal until I was older.

at least u got the talk. i didn't get anything. i remember my older sister getting hers then we just learned from what she would tell us. my mom didn't talk to us about it, sex either. we learned that on our own. i started when i was 13 at Bush Gardens!!! i just told my mom and she was like hers 25 cents get a pad out of the machine. i told her about it cause she has seen my tampons and started asking me questions when she was like 5. and she would ask well when am i gonna get it and when am i gonna get breast. its funny too cause she wanted a baby brother or sister so bad, when she would see the wrapper in the trash she would say i guess ur not pregnant.

WOW! I am thankful I didn't hit puberty until I was closer to my teens and it looks like my eldest won't hit it until then, also (she is 9 ). Can't recall my breasts hurting or being hard, though.
Good luck!

Oh.. I guess then you don't have to tell her to much. Just give her one for her bag, and that can be about it... My Mom only told me because my sister started too. I of course went and told the whole neighborhood that my sister was bleeding. I was about 7/8.

If it's just one of her breasts i would go and get that checked out. I know from personal experience it's very difficult. I was 8 1/2 when i started my period. I thought I was bleeding to death and by 9 i was wearing a bra. But I remember it being both breast and it kinda felt the way i feel now being pregnant and all my breasts kill me! I would just check her every week. And if the only one growing is that one that would be a concern. Because i was watching tlc about women who had one breasts larger then the other... like waaaaayy larger. Not saying your childs breasts will be different then the other but it's for sure something to check up on ;)

well its not as hard as it was this week. and it looks like a normal growing breast. i've read that sometimes one grows before the other and then the other catches up. if it doesn't start in a few months then i'll get it checked. i was worried about how hard it was, but that went away. its just real puffy around the nimple like its growing
