that is alot....ask ur doc because i would say that its too early to try cereal.... maybe you could put a little more formula. like instead of 2 scoops for 4 ounces of water, maybe 2 scoops for 3 ounces of water....

Wow.. sorry can't say much there as Nika is a boobie baby, but she'd only had 3 ounces of my milk at 2 months old.

My doc advised not to up the amount of formula if I were to ever formula feed) rapidly as they get used to it quick andit doesn't do anything good for their belly.

I wouldn't mess with the formula/water ratios. Talk to your doctor, that is a lot for a baby to be eating.
How often does he eat?
If it's just recently, it could just be a growth spurt. I remember my girl once had 11 ounces at one sitting when she was around 3 1/2 months. It was like she was a bottomless pit.

If he is eating 3-4 hours then he should be fine. There is a point that if they are eating to much formula they have you start cereal because of the amount of calories in the formula. That happened to us because Kaidyn is a large baby as it is and she was afraid he would gain to much with the amount of formula he was drinking. She gave the ok to start cereal before 4 montsh because of that. Of course talk to his pedi before you start though.
