When did you have your abortion?

And how did it effect you? Regret or no regret?

Abortion stories appreciated, but not needed...only if any of you have the time.

This is really hard for me to talk about, so I apologize if it doesn't make much sense.

When I was 13, I "dated" a 20 year old man. He was very abusive and put me in the hospital a few times. I found out I was pregnant a few months before I turned 14. I had an abortion a week after I found out. I do not regret it at all. It was a relief to me and finally gave me the courage to leave him.

I found out I was pregnant when I was 17. My parents had me go through with an abortion (I didn't know at the time that I had the choice not to go through with it, I had wanted to give the baby up for adoption) I still regret it over 14 years later but perhaps I wouldn't have if I had felt it had been my choice.

I had an abortion when I was 17. I don't regret it, I don't even think about it, not because it makes me sad but because I honestly don't care.

My abortion was performed at 9 1/2 weeks and was easy, painless, and I recovered quickly.

i was 16 and just not ready for a child.

i had it like two weeks after i found out cause of the procedure you have to go through before having it.

i still sometimes think how my life would be if i wouldnt do it, but once i draw a line the fact is tht i was a child and in no way capable of taking care of a baby.

I had mine last year when I was 17.

I didn't want to go through with it but after days of being yelled at by my parents, I went through with it just so it would stop. I do regret it and feel pretty depressed because of it at times, though some part of me knows it was probably for the best since I might have not even finished high school if I had a baby.

I had one on 2/17 (less than a month ago) I was about 7 weeks and took the medication. I do not regret it at all. I already have a son who is almost 3 and even though my boyfriend and I have been together for almost 6 years, it was just not a good time for another child.

Regret it I had it at 5 weeks along my son was only 3 month at the time and we felt it was to soon and to much to handle with what we where going threw at the moment. I cried for every and it upsets me I try not even tho think about it at all. I feel stupied because 4 months later I got pregnant and I now have a baby girl. I try thinking of it as it was ment to be and something would have went wry g with the pregnancy anyways and now I have my baby girl tho.

I wish I wouldn't have done it but what can I do it's to late. I had the pill

I don't understand how you could not care. There must be more to your story than what you told.

I had mine less than a week ago. So it's still on my mind, but I don't regret my decision. It was the option that was best for me. I could have had the baby and been able to support it but I put myself and my son first. No regret.
The clinic I went to was great. All the ppl who worked there were wonderful and supportive & my boyfriend was very supportive. I got it done early in the morning and once I got home (and after taking a nap!) I found myself crying the rest of the day, not because I regretted the decision, they were tears of relief that after 2 pregnancies in 4 months it was finally done.
And I'm now realizing I am glad that I was able to be strong enough to make a decision based on my wants/needs, a very first for me.

I regret mine but because I made a hasty decision for all the wrong reasons. I didn't want to be judged for being a single mother that got "knocked up" again. I got pregnant again a month later and now I have a beautiful 1 year old son who I absolutely adore but I do think about the baby that I aborted and it makes me very very sad.
