*NEW* - Ask a real doctor

Seeing as so many of you have questions that need be answered by a medical professional, we decided to partner with an online service which allows you to pay a small fee for answers from a licensed doctor, nurse, and/or midwife.

Basically, the service has doctors and nurses that are on-call online 24/7 to answer whatever questions you have about your pregnancy or children.

The way it works:

1. write out your question and we'll connect you with the service.


2. register your details and the price you are willing to pay to get your question answered


3. a doctor/nurse/midwife will typically respond within minutes (you can pay more to get an immediate answer for an urgent question).

The service also offers a live chat option, which is very useful for those of you who don't know much about your issue and might need further interaction to properly diagnose and treat your case.

We are running this for a limited trial period -- so we'd appreciate any feedback you have and whether we should continue using it.

That's awesome. I know it will come in handy for many.

Interesting idea. I can see it being beneficial for countries without socialized medicine that have to pay out of pocket for visits to ERs and such.

Like $1.00 or $10.00?

You define their pay rate

• $ 9.00 : for people on a tight budget
• $15.00 : the standard for health questions
• $30.00 : for urgent questions

i would like it a whole lot better if it was a service free of charge! but i guess everybody needs compensation!

Well, we would too. But it would be a bit much to ask real doctors to be on call for free.

If you have questions other parents can answer then you can find all the free information and responses you want on Baby Gaga ;) It really is just for questions that require too much specialized knowledge that normal parents just aren't qualified to answer.
