I started with bite size pieces LO could grasp and put in his mouth. Or mashed in a bowl with a spoon if we had mashed sweet potatoes and a fork or spoon.

It doesn't matter the size, really. Just that they are feeing themselves and it's not purée.

Tried giving Liam sweet potatoes as his first solid food. He basically just smashed up the chunks and made the most disgusted faces when some would get in his mouth. Lol. I got myself all pumped up to start BLW and he didn't seem interested.

I agree with the long skinny pieces, part of BLW is allowing them to choose how big a piece they can chew up  

So I really wanted to do BLW. Liam did end up eating 2 small pieces of banana (after trying for about a week to get him to eat various things.) He was fussy and trying to poop at my moms so she convinced me to give him prunes, in baby food form. They did actually help him poo. Then she convinced me to take the few jars of baby food she had. My sisters theory was have him eat the little baby food my mother gave me to develop a taste for food then switch to BLW.

Hes actually eating the baby food (sort of) instead of crying and smashing the chunks of food into his high chair tray.

I do know what it is about food that makes him so upset.

My doctor told me I don't perduce enough milk she told me to start giving my 4 month old baby girl rice baby food 3 times a day , I don't want to but I don't know what to do?

4 wet and poops every few days. And yes I hear her swallow . She is 12 pounds 10 oz

How old is she?

Wet or saturated wet?

My LO is 9 months old and still gets most of her nutrition from breastfeeding, we do BLW as long as she wants it but most of the time she is just not interested. I do not get any support from my SO or his entire family, and they constantly accuse me of "starving my poor baby"   But I know what im doing is right, and all that info in the OP only re enforces that.

I'm so mad we went to my SO parents house for the Christmas and they freaking gave my 4 month old a cookie and potato salad I was mad and I kept telling them no and they crammed it in her mouth I was pissed, they never listen to me when I say no they just laugh and do it anyways. I shouldn't have to b a bitch and I sure didn't want to cuz it is Christmas . Uhg I don't kno what to do when they do that

Cram a cookie in their mouth....ughhh that would make me furious......at 4 months!? Seriously!? DO NOT be sorry for being a bitch....it was well deserved
