What is best to give,

I buy frozen veggie mixes, what out of that can I steam?

Carrots? mushrooms? broc/cauliflower?

If its the baby carrots I wouldn't use those....you want like the normal large carrots...steam them and slice them in half and then down the middle...cauliflower you can steam...offer like either a giant baby one...or slices off a normal cauliflower. But later on when he's been eating for a while you can give the mixed baby veggies...my son eats w/e now and he started like 6 weeks ago

Actually wait he's got that good pincers grasp soo I say wait till he has the chewing part down then offer smaller pieces

They are like julienne carrot pieces.

I don't know if we should do purees or not. maybe for just a bit then steamed veg or both. Gah, this is hard. lol.

Yeah you could do that....extra work really...he's not going to learn to chew until he eats the steamed veggies :]

I never used the WIC checks for the baby stuff. no issues

Can you use the WIC, buy the jars and then donate them?

I am dreading my LOs next pedi appt. on Mon. He will have JUST turned 5m old and I bet they will say I should have started solids already. hopefully not though! this is a new pedi, so we'll see.

Yeah, half of me is excited to start, the other half doesnt want to, but we dont have a high chair so ill at least wait till then.
