8 weeks post partum

I had my baby in Jan. Tonight I took a hpt and it was a very faint postive. I dont know what to do but go to the dr and get a blood test to make sure. I had a very hard pregnancy this last time. Emotionally I wont be able to handle another baby not at this time. Im really scared that I am pregnant again. I have a iud put in but the dr office didnt do a pregnancy test before they put the iud in. Has anyone been in this situation??

so you had unprotected sex before your 6 week pp checkup?

I would definitely get to the doctor asap so they can remove the IUD. It can cause problems.

Take another test with FMU and see what the result is. You may have gotten a false positive, in your case I hope that is what happened. If you take another test and get a positive you need to make an appointment with your doctor and decide what to do, especially if you have an IUD in.

Yes we did at 4 weeks which i was taking birth control untill I got my iud in and the dr said it was ok. We went 7 months with out sex bc of my placenta issues

I go to the dr on Wed so Im going to have them do a blood test.

I don't believe you are supposed to even start the pill till 6 weeks...

They should have given you a pregnancy test before putting it in..

uhh how did you even get birth control? they dont give you birth control until your 6 week pp check up.

and they should have tested you for pregnancy. my OB did when i had my iud put in.

That is what I was thinking but he told me to go ahead and start them. So I did and then I went and had the IUD put in and now I got a pos pregnancy test.

I guess if you don't breast feed they can give you a prescription when.you leave the hospital.

The dr I was seeing. Lets just say I wasnt to happy with this dr not the dr I wanted to begin with my first ob went back to india so i had a new high risk dr from the time i was 30 weeks pregnant

Yeah I know its weird! I saw some ladies talking about it on here.
