First I would like to say that living with an acholic is very hard add children and it is near impossible. What u need to do is leave the guy that drinks and live for your children u will be better for it. I got rid of someone like that and my life is easier and my children are happier. I have two and one on the way. Due May 21. My brother used to live with me but I had to kick him out due to his drinking.. It is hard but u got to do it. I still love my brother I just dont want him near my kids when he is like this.

Update:

He spent the night in jail and walked home at about 3 or 4 in the morning. I got home around noon and he had left again. Finally he was able to call me from somewhere and i went and got him.

I was very honest with him today. Its us or the bottle and I will NOT be giving him another ultimatum. I have ZERO time to smurf around. It wasnt easy, but he has agreed to go to meetings, which he says he hates but nobody said this would be fun. I said if you cant get through the meetings you dont deserve us in your life. If you cant sacrifice that- there's my answer. I will not allow the diseased, sick person in the family to dictate the happiness for the rest of us. He needs to surrender to the process or I'm gone. Period.

Im going to attend al-anon, so I have the tools and know-how to deal with this as well. I have told him I will stand by him through all of it but he has to fight for it because I am not gong to waste anymore time.

My older brother, though he means well, called me and told me that i should abort. He did when he was 19 with his ex. He said if i decide not to, he will adopt my baby (which is very sweet but.. no) He said any man that meets me in the future will not want to be involved with a woman who has two kids with two different men. I told him i realize the judgement that keeping the baby and being single would cause me- but if thats the case im better off alone. I am going to stand by my man, one last time. By doing that, I am choosing a life for my baby. I am not looking at this as a selfish decision. It would only be selfish if i stayed and he continued to drink. He is not allowed to drink and be with me.
If, in the end, this all ends up being for nothing- then I will be alone. Just me and my babies.  

Im going to google some al-anon and AA info now. probably be on later.

You are a really strong person wish i could have read the OP before you deleted it but i know what it is like to have a husband who drinks mine verbally abuses me daily so i know about that also i hope you can get through this on your own with your babies or together as a family
