having sex after c section??

can anyone help me? my husband is going crazy and is driving me crazy. its been 3 weeks since my surgery and im all closed up. how long did you wait to have sex and were you able to have normal sex (rough) or did you have to take it easy and go slow with it? we havent had sex in 6 weeks! please help! docs wont see me for another 3 weeks. i dont know how much longer we can wait...

we did it at 4 weeks but they do say to wait til 6 weeks b/c of risk of infection. We used a condom and we had to go really slow b/c it was alittle uncomfortable at first. I don't know how you labor went and if it makes a difference but i labored for 19 hours and pushed for 2 before having my c-section so i just thought my cervix was still very tender from all of that at 4 weeks. With this child i had a VBAC and I waited til 6 weeks  

3wks the first time, had to go very slow. This time I will be waiting the full 6wks. 3wks was way too uncomfy.

I waited 2 weeks, just took it slow and carefully.

The recommended 6 weeks.
I wasn't willing to risk infection or anything of that sort.

Waited the 6 weeks and used a condom, it was a bit uncomfortable at the start but totally worth it once it all got going.  

With the first we waited 1 week 6 days and just went slow. With the second we waited like 4 weeks and did it normal.

6 weeks is recommended for healing and infection purposes.

First time we waited 2weeks and just went really slow. We didn't have sex again after that until after my 6 week check up haha
Second time we waited 4 weeks and started off slow, we didn't have extremely rough sex but it wasn't slow the whole time. That time we waited about a week before having sex again haha

If its uncomfortable don't do it!!!! If you want to try go ahead but do realize that they say to wait 6 weeks for a reason, so it may not feel good at all
