Yup hehe, and as long as we don't eat there yet it's still cheap. Only $5 worth of tokens will last a while for him.

Yes, I am making a tutu....and some sort of onesie/shirt. Either birthday girl or a big 1 on it or something.   To buy, they are like $25 and I think I can make it for cheaper plus it'd be fun to do. I think we'll have her party on the 19th ....what are you doing?

We are having his party at ChuckE Cheeses on the 20th. We are just inviting family to his party (with the exception for my friend who will be taking the pictures)

Our families do not go to church (expect for my one SIL but they go in the evening) So Sunday afternoon (prob around 1pm)is not a prob for them. Most of us do our "house stuff on sat and sun is a free day. so it works for us, but if we did go to church then it would be on sat.

Have any yummy but fairly cheap recipes you care to share? I'm making a list for the store tonight!

Anyone else have idea? I still have an hour before I leave!

I have a question since yall are talking about xmas. How are ya''ll putting up your trees? Half decorated or what? Babygate around it? We don't have much room for a tree here but I'll have to either take my chair upstairs or take part of his play area for the tree. And I'm getting a baby gate for the tree, otherwise Levi will be all over it. lol!

sorry, no cheap recipes here. You can buy Mamasita sauce (bbq) and marinate your meat with it, then stir fry it. I love that stuff!! It's a filipino marinade. Although I don;t know if u can get it there. My white friends like it too when they discovered it. lol. That's about it.

Aimee, my husband doesn't get up at night either. I think my husband wins the biggest turd award. He's never let me sleep in nor does he get up in the night, unless he's already up like a Friday or Saturday night. I only get naps if I'm (a) exhausted to the point of not functioning (like last weekend when I had a breakdown b/c I couldn't find the box of mac and cheese I had just bought only to find it in the refrigerator of all places) or (b) Ryder is napping. He'll do poopy diapers if I'm not home, but if I'm home and working, then he'll he interrupt me to change it. Can I ask for a new husband for Christmas

Jessica, I wouldn't feel bad about not being "that mom." I hate "that mom." She's too perfect. She probably steals her kid's Ritalin to stay on it all the time (kidding). We only do Gymboree because I don't want Ryder to be like my friend's kid who was never around other kids his first two years and is now a royal terror around them. He also seems to love the interaction.

I haven't considered yet how we're going to do our tree. Luckily, it will be in a corner so if I want to barricade it off, I probably will be able to do it fairly easily.

Summer, my kid doesn't dance independently but he loves when you sing to him or whistle and if there's an instrument around, he wants it. We got him a little xylophone for X-mas. I would love to get him a drum like the one we use in his Gymboree music class but I can't find one. He LOVES that thing.

Okay, I think I caught up on everything. I'm off to bed. I'm exhausted today and need to get up super early to work (or stay up late, which I don't feel like doing).

You probably already thought of it, but I did NOT do this and the nurses in recovery thought I was strange. She said most parents will wake up their kids just before midnight and give them one last bottle/drink and then put them back to bed. I didn't do that with Andrew (he had his last drink just before bed, at around 7 pm) so when it came time for him to pee AFTER surgery (he needed to pee before they let him go) it took FOREVER! Like 2 hours. Just thought I'd pass that on.

Nope, with my baby's, I have always been the one. He could sleep through ANYTHING. I usually wake him up when someone pukes because it goes faster when 2 are there to help clean everything up. But he's slept through a puke clean up too when all the hall lights were on upstairs. Technically (OK, don't get mad at me, please???) you could rest while Isabella naps. I know there is ALWAYS stuff to do when she's asleep, but if you're really tired, I'd choose nap over cleaning the house or whatever it is.
