Jen- I am definately making that this week. It looks amazing... I wish I had the stuff for it, now... It'd make it tonight and have it tomorrow... I might go buy the stuff. lol I love food.

Aimee- I was told not to give the baby grapes. But, maybe that's because they are small and a choking hazard? IDK.

No Maggie, the dr didn't give Levi any meds. He said he's not running a fever, he's allert, and no blood or mucus in his poop, so he said all I can do is treak the symptoms. So he said so feed him his formula, pedilyte when he has a runny diaper (to replace what he just passed) and to feed him thing to harded his stool. He gave me a list and it had (for his age) bananas, rice cereal, and fresh peeled apples. I haven't given him any apples. All I've been giving him the last couple of days is bananas and cereal. But I didn't think that would do anything because Levi just has no problem pooping. He's eating more and more formula. And he's peeing, so there nothing they can do but wait for it to pass.

The firewooks have started and my anxitiy level is sky high. Levi has already woken up 3 times. I told Irv if he wakes up one more time that I'm putting him in the bed with us till it stops and I'll put him back in his crib. 3 MORE DAYS TILL IM OUT OF THIS HOUSE!! To where fire works are not legal!

Haley, I have never been a big fan of the 4th of July, and it's probably my least favorite holiday. I guess I just truly don't see the point of setting off loud fireworks (the pretty ones don't bother me so much) in celebration. Our neighbors are setting off these ones that have no lights but make these huge booming noises. So far, Ryder has slept through it completely. I think what annoys me the most is they have a 2-year-old and one on the way (so it will be interesting to see if they're out there next year being obnoxiously loud).

Oh I dont' give her grapes on it's own... I cut up the grapes then put it in the meshy bag thingamajig.
At my mommy group, the moms there have also cut up the grapes and froze then them put them in the meshy bag for teething. I have some in the freezer, so I'm going to try it tomorrow.

Here's a link I just found about it.

awwwwwww... poor levi. that totally sucks. hopefully they run out of fireworks soon. They had a rock concert at our stadium last weekend, it was sooooooooooo loud we seriously thought it was just a couple of houses down playing band music and having a party. We live about 4 or 5 minutes away from the stadium, I didn't think we could hear rock concerts from here that loud! I hated it so much!!!! Good thing Isabella fell asleep but I was so worried about her waking up to it. Firework noises are even louder and scarier.

In my neighborhood, some streets of 'block parties annually. A couple of weeks ago, one of the streets had a block party (they close the street down, have yard sales in the day then a party at night). They had a band playing music until 11pm. I could hear it from my house but it wasn't as loud as the stadium concert. But it was still loud enough with the drums and guitar. I was glad I wasn't the house next door to that band playing - or even part of that block!!! I wondered if there were any babies on that block too!!!!!!!!!! The only bad thing I have to deal with is that my neighbor behind me has a basketball hoop (we have back lanes here in Winnipeg - I don't think some of you know what that is...) and so the neighborhood kids will sometimes play back there - and the ball bouncing echoes and my bedroom window faces the street so it's annoying.

I have that also but I'm beginning to think it sucks. I've used it twice and each time I've had to throw out a mesh bag so I'm down to just the two. Ryder doesn't even seem to like it that much.

don't do apples, but applesauce is supposed to help solidify their poop. And NO apple juice. I know you don't give juice yet anyway, but for future reference, apple juice will make diarrhea worse.

Acidophillus is the good bacteria. When people get diarrhea, it wipes out all the good bacteria in your gut. Good bacteria help you digest, etc. so acidophillus helps re-colonize your good gut bacteria. There is some in yogurt, but more yogurts have lots of sugar added to it, and sugar makes diarrhea worse too. So in any health food store, you should be able to buy refrigerated acidophillus. You can mix it into his formula. It's good for a lot of stuff - good for building their immune system. A Mom I know gives it to her son every morning in his yogurt to prevent recurrent ear infections.

Yesterday at camp, I told the boys to wash their hands because we were going to eat supper and they had been in the lake and playing outside in the sand. And Joshua says, "No Mom, we don't need to. We have the appetizer." And I'm like, wha....??? And they're mad at me, because of the appetizer!!! FINALLY...I get the story out of them. THey had used Caleb's hand sanitizer that was in his backpack...the sanitizer!

Natalee has a cold now, Andrew is getting a cold. I checked CP symptoms and CP often starts with a cold. hmmm, who knew?

And today we went to the wedding. Everything worked out well, except Wyatt was difficult. It was pretty annoying, but at least it's over and done with. I got someone to take a pic of Mike & me...hopefully it turned out. I'll try to upload pics from my camera tomorrow. I've taken lots over the last week and haven't put any on my blog.

I'm off to bed. These past 2 days of driving and being around people and taking care of the kids has been far too exhausting. good night!

oh really?? Isabella loves it. I only have 1 mesh bag. Why doesn't he like it? Isabella can't hold the handle, she holds the mesh and sucks/chews on it. Today was the only time I used it though. What did you put in it?

I also bought the Nestle Good Start that has the bifidus in it. (Is that the same thing?) I have acidophyliis capsules still in my fridge from my painful breastfeeding thrush stage. Ughhhhhhhhh I just want to forget that time. Can I crack them open and put it in her milk?
