Hi Larysa, welcome to the club.   Are you going to find out the gender?

No worries Aimee! That's why I usually go by Jenn with 2 n's. Jennifer is just way too common. I remember as a kid, they would have news stories with the most common names in the country. #1 was always Jennifer. Ugh.I had to do the same thing as a kid, with an initial after my name. It is annoying to share a name with so many people, so I don't want my kids to have to do the same thing.

MommaDuby, mine are stronger sometimes, even now. They have just started, but they double me over every once in a while, especially if I am lying down. They were killer this morning, but stopped after I got up. When I went to the ER, they were so bad I couldn't sit flat & felt like I couldn't breathe. I started having them early with #2 & there were times when they would stop me dead in my tracks. I didn't even look preggo & was having them. I still had to be induced with him & I thought I'd never dialate, so it has been my experience that they can be strong & even painful & consistent, & still not do anything to progress labor. You definitely have a reason to be nervous. I notice everything this time around too. Just think about that healthy baby & I hope you don't stress too much. Easier said than done, I know.

Welcome Larysa!

What did they say at the ER? Did they say it was normal? I'm not stressing about it because I know that's not good for me or baby, but it just get's me a little nervous when it starts getting really hard and uncomfortable.

They said that since my OB had left orders & they were more than likely from the dehydration, they would give me fluids & meds, then see if they stopped. The nurse said it usually stops with fluids & that it is a sure sign of dehydration. I didn't have to see an ER doctor since they stopped as soon as I got the 1st bag of fluid. I haven't had them that strong since then, thank the Lord. I go back to my OB on Tuesday so I am going to ask him about it to make sure.

Well that's good that things calmed down after the fluids. I have been drinking around a gallon a day so that I don't get dehydrated again, but goodness that's ALOT of water!!!! Lol, I feel like a bloated fish all day.

OMG! I was posting some stuff on my blogger site & I ran across a picture of me at 16 weeks with my second. My belly looks huge & round, yetI hadn't gained any weight at that point. I wish it looked like that now, instead of looking just kinda fatty. Check it out......

Guess what I just did?!?? I went shopping at a maternity store and bought a whack load of clothes. My husband's cousin here inVancouver works at one shop and so I got the 50% discount. What a difference mat clothes look on you than regular clothes. They are more fitted and make me look more preggo than my regular shirts that just stretch the wrong way and make me look fat. I love my new clothes!! Instead of $600 I spent $300. =) I know it seems like a lot, but I have a whole new wardrobe now since I can't fit into anything else I own. I justify it by saying I can wear it AFTER my pregnancy, and that I'll have more kids one day so I can wear them again. Right??   Right!

Sure you will
You're right, maternityclothes also makeme look better. I still fit most my clothes, (not jeans!) but as you said, they hug me in the wrong way and I lookfat rather than pregnant. I hope you got some materity underwear! I got a pair of scary looking underpants from my sister, big and very unsexy. She said that if I couldn't buy them myself, then she would, bc she knew I'd love them if I'd only wear them. And I do. And the stomach just looks rounder and prettier with proper panties.

I was thinking about going maternity clothes shoping today, but I don't feel to great today, ao I may wait until Tuesday, when I am close to the mall. I HAD tons of maternity clothes after my 2 kids, but I let my SIL borrow them & they are gone. I'm talking over $1000 worth of my clothes & my other SIL's clothes. She had 2 big black garbage bags full of them & I got back 1/2 of a regular bag full. She just got rid of them all, right after I told her I wanted them all back. It still makes me mad. So, now I have to go buy more. I can still wear my regular clothes too, but some of my jeans just fit in a way that gives that "muffin top" look. Ewww. My boobs are swelling up, so my shirts are getting to short & I am so sick of t-shirts/. Everyone keeps saying, "Oh you can just wear t-shirts & comfy shorts while you are preggo this summer! You won't even have to buy any clothes until winter!!" but who wants to wear slouchy clothes all the time? they just make me look fatter. I have never bought maternity undies. I always heard they were way too uncomfortable, especially since I am a thong gal. I wore them until the day I went to the hospital with both. I was just more comfy in my own. Then I just bought regular bikini undies for afterwards. I really need to buy a maternity cocktail dress. Both DH & I have our 10 yr class reunions in a few months, so at least I will get 2 wears out of it. (Man, I feel old!)

Oh underwear! That's one thing I didn't get. I DID get a bra. I was going braless for at least 2 weeks and wore and undershirt or cami instead by the underwire in my bra's were making me feel sick or giving me heartburn! It was wayyy too tight. The bra I bought doesn't have underwire in it. I still prefer the no-bra feeling, but I'm thinking I should take care of these puppies bc they will be saggy after breastfeeding. :/ I DO need maternity underwear though. Maybe I'll get some today. Are they granny like then if they fit over your bump?!?!?? lol

I love the preggo part though. maternity underwear is AWESOME! I have lost so much weigth that even my regular clother are big on me and my mat clothes fall right off. So I am still inb reg clothes. But my belly is round but I think it is just bloating and my fat belly from my first baby is pushing out...haha. 29 days till I find out the sex...it is taking forever!!!

Awful, my energy s going up but I am still slow. it takes me twice as long to do anything and I still get sick. Not as often but about 3 days out of a week I spend hugging the toilet. Everytime I thow up my 5 year old goes..."Mommy the baby is making you sick because she wants out"(he insists its a girl)

I never did like maternity undies. I wore them the first 2 times around and they were like granny-gitch. Made me feel yucky, old and unattractive (didn't need help in THAT department!). The last 2 times I've worn my regular bikini's and they sit under my belly anyway. They get stretched out a little, but you need new undies every 1-2 years anyway, right, so you just buy some new ones without the extra cost!

Courtney - that sucks that you're still so sick and that you've lost that much weight. Has the dr. not given you some drugs to help out with that?
