Scentsy vs other brands

posted 24th Feb '12
Is there really a difference? I own a Scentsy burner and a burner that I bought from Hobby Lobby. The only difference is the Scentsy holds more wax than the other brand. The bricks I haven't noticed that huge of a difference like all of these Scentsy slingers claim. I have used Scentsational, Better Home and Gardens, and some other brand that I got from walgreens. Any non Scentsy brain washed people care to give their honest opinion? I am running out of bars and trying to decide if I should order Scentsy or just head out to a local store. Thanks!

I found something even better than that. At a local sust. arts store, a local lady sells handmade organic scented soy wax bricks. I super love them. She has awesome scents, AND they last WAY longer than scentsy ever did for me. And they're cheaper, too! But I never noticed a difference between actual scentsy and the walmart stuff.

I was going to order scentsy until i found burners at walmart i liked just as much for half the price! i like the bars they sell at walmart also; if you have a store around you that sells country primitive stuff they sell bars, cookies, and crumbs for melting and i love them!!

Does she have a site or way to order on line?

Oh and Yankee Candle Company tarts were not worth the price IMO. They were $2 a piece and last a day.

There is no difference b't Scentsy burners/wax and other brands' burners/wax. It's all marketing crap per Scentsy to think otherwise.

I've noticed that food smells last a smurf ton longer than "light" smells (like dainty flowers or clean things - air, cotton, linen, etc etc).

But I've not found a brand which lasts more than a day and a half with an initial burn time of about 4+ hrs.

I was drinkin' the scentsy koolaid there for a minute too, but I realize now that the scent doesn't really last that long with them. I get like, two days max out of one portion so.. I'm in the market for something new too. Preferably soy.

The Better Homes and Garden ones or whatever else Walmart has never last as long for me as the Scentsy ones do. Scentsy doesn't last as long as people claim at all, but it's still my favorite of what I have tried so far. Usually about 2 days for me...sometimes 3 depending on the scent. I am down for anything though...and yes those yankee things are a ripoff.

Agreed, I'm burning a scent right now thats lasted for 4 days but its really strong so thats probably why and I turn my burners off at night and only use them during the day.

There is a newer company called pink zebra selling wax stuff.

I've used both, the only difference I have noticed is scentsy scents last a little longer, but other than that I see no difference.

The better homes and gardens actually have toxins in them. I wouldn't wanna be breathing that.
