Walking

Caleb has been pulling up and walking while holding on to things for well over a month now.
How long did it take your toddlers to let go and walk on their own?
Also, when he is standing and walking along the table or couch, he stays on his tip toes. Have any of your little ones done this or should I be concerned?
He has a check up tomorrow so I'm going to talk to his pedi about it then, but I was just looking for some opinions.

It took Nathan some time before he was on his own, but most toddlers do that because they want to perfect it. They want to feel confident when they are on their own. My son still to this day is soooo cautious and I love it! Me and my husband would sit cross legged across from eachother and encourage him back and forth. He would take a step and dive at first, which was soooo cute, but then he started taking more and more until bam, our boy was a walker Yes I should have a smiley face there, but they grow so fast!!!!!!!!

It took my lil one about two moonths to get the whole walking thing down packed she would only do it every once in awhile at first and to me or her daddy. She just turned 11 months and is a lil pro at it. Except when it comes to grasss.... she refuses to walk in grass i dont understand it )

Hunter began trying to walk around 7.5-8 months and finally got it down by 9 months

Maybe if you put sneakers on him it will make him put his feet flat. My baby goes on her tippy toes, but when she has sneakers on her feet are flat on the floor.

My little one has been cruising for almost a month now and the past week has started letting go and standing...but he is still on his tippy toes alot and bounces a lot too...I think that goes away when they get used to walking a little more.
My first started walking about two months after he started cruising...we did the thing where you hold a toy he wants and get him to walk back and forth between us...first just a step...then two and so on.
BTW what did his pedi say about the tippy toes?
