HOW?????

Please someone tell me HOW to keep a 2 yr old out of the fish tank!!! I have caught my son standing in it twice, Trying to catch the fish and flush them because hubby flushed a dead one, Dumping a WHOLE thing of fish food in it, tried to "clean" the inside with windex, and to top it off last night dumped a whole bottle of water declorifier (sp?) in it and toxin remover and MORE fish food AND a magic eraser in the tank. He killedfour fish immediatly, and two more died while we were cleaning the tank (apparently we werent fast enough). SOO, two goldfish are still alive and one sucker fish and a frog but the Chinese fish, the guppies, the shark, and a sucker died. How in the world do I keep him form messing with it or just keeping him OUT??? I cant move it cause we literally have no where else for it to go.

im sorry cause i know its not really funny but that made me chuckle mainly cause my nephew killed his fish when he was about 2 he fed them hamster food in all fairness it sounds like he is trying to be helpfull more than naughty is there anyway you can lock the lid down or put something ontop that he wouldnt be able to move

WOW I would be so mad!!. My kids know better then to bother ANY of our animals unless we allow them to. They always ask. My 2 year old use to try to get our birds out but After ALOT of time outs and standing in the corner and a smack on the butt she get the idea and stopped!!.

Good Luck cuz if he were mine OMG he would be in some MAJOR trouble!!!!

If your tank has a cover on it you could get a fridge lock to put on it. He should grow out of it though  

Our fish tank comes to above my chin, so my daughter can't get into it.

But, she was able to get into the smaller ones. She's super grossed out by poop, so I told her she would make the fish poop in their tank and the water would be yucky and they would be mad at her. Super corny, but it worked.

NOOO thats the problem lol the smartass knows how to undo ANY child proof lock you put on. If he even sees it one time your screwed.

Tried it! Two minutes later he doesnt care. He's the one who will tip toe back when you say come here and when you step closer takes off across the store running and giggling. Time outs dont work. Take things away doesnt work. Talking doesnt work. My daughter use to be that way but she got better when she got older.

He's the typical boy NOTHING bothers him. You throw day old pizza away and he knows it when you leave the room he is digging for it. I just dont know what to do with this boy.

He DOES get in MAJOR trouble but everytime you arent looking finds SOMETHING to do. I know its cause he is only 2 and at his age I am sure its hilarious. I know he didnt "try" to hurt or kill the fish but he doesnt get leave it alone or fish dont "Play" with you.

get a new fish that he doesent know and tell him the fish will bite him and make him bleed....lol i know crewl but it might work

im sorry then i dont have any suggestionsd but i was just talking to my husband and he said he had the same thing with his daughter because when one of their fish died he flushed it down the toilet telling her that it would go to the fish dr and then they would go to the pet shop and pick it up the next day (this in its self i find hilarious i mean the things we will tell kids its criminal) so then a few days later she took it upon herself to flush 3 of them down the toilet these also were quite expensive fish her reasoning was that they looked poorly and she wanted them to go get checked by the fish dr. i dont know how funny id find it if it were my fish buti just love the stuff kids do i mean its quite sweet in a way cause they seem to genuinly want to help and dont seem to do these things out of malice

lol This kid found broken glass started playing with it and came to me crying cause the blood was making his hands dirty not because they were cut. The minute i cleaned his hands he went right back to it again (thats the only reason I found it) Unfortunatly he grew out of his I want to be clean stage.

Yeah I know. I "try" to explain it as simple as possible but one of his issues is the I want to be like daddy thing and try and be the "big boy" but it gets him in trouble. Doesnt matter if daddy did it right he atleast "tried" in his eyes. It didnt bother me as much as it did my husband. He liked the shark and the sucker we only had for two days. The chinese ones were going bye bye anyways eventually and I think the guppies were too small compared to the others.
