Quoting Landon's Mommy *TTC*:" My doctor has not once mentioned weight so I was just curious. I've had a few people chime in to tell ... [snip!] ... & then I've also had a few tell me that an OB won't tell you you need to lose weight, only an RE will make that move."some doctors will tell you and others won't. With your progesterone levels being so low with every cycle of clomid it looks like to me that you are not ovulating. If could be that you are not ovulating at all on the clomid. They like to see the number be around 14 after ovulation. I really think you should go see an RE b/c I do not feel your OBGYN is monitoring you like he/she should. You should be getting 2 ultrasounds a month (one at the beginning and one mid cycle to look at follicles) It never hurts to try and lose a few pounds just to see if it helps with everything including ovulation. 10 to 15 lbs can make a world of a difference some times.
Quoting snglemama:" this isn't really true. Sorry. Being over weight is not healthy. That doesnt' mean there aren't thin people who aren't also unhealthy. But.. overweight just isn't healthy."
Quoting Peek A Boob:" I think every body is different. Sometimes, when severely overweight or underweight your body doesn't ... [snip!] ... (roughly, 85? 90?) that would need to be lost in order to be at a healthy weight. Do you have PCOS? I wish you the best xoxo"
Quoting Landon's Mommy *TTC*:" No I don't have PCOS or anything. I've only seen my doctor twice in the past 6 months, the first time ... [snip!] ... he had to cut my infected hair It's something I might bring up to him when I set up the appointment to see him next week.."
Quoting Irenoogsmama:" We can agree to disagree!!!! That is ok!. "
Quoting snglemama:" it is ok. but... it's a medical fact htat it's unhealthy to be overweight so it's not really an opinion ... [snip!] ... so it's not really an opinion based statement. OP- being overweight also puts you at higher risk of post partum hemorrhaging."
Quoting Landon's Mommy *TTC*:" If weight were an issue with me with TTC, would my OB mention that to me? I know that I'm over weight ... [snip!] ... lose weight in order to get pregnant? I've been having complete strangers tell me these things. Kinda starting to piss me off.."

Quoting ♥MommyToAGingerBoy:" I was 185 when I got pregnant and I'm only 5'1. I'm obese for my height. My main problem was my PCOS and I only ovulate 4X a year"
Quoting ~Ice Princess~:" Your OB should have told you that it can affect your fertility. Even a weight gain of 5 pounds can ... [snip!] ... pregnant, yes? Not getting pregnant. I've never heard of weight affecting your ability to stay pregnant, only getting there."
