back pain....help please.

posted 16th Apr
So I've been getting this pain for the last two weeks its in the middle of my back, kinda closer to the bottom of my ribs, on one side but close to my spine. I've never had back pain before I this. I was expecting to have back pain later in my pregnecy but I'm only 11 weeks. Do you ladies think it's even from pregency? Could it be from stress? Most importanly how can I relieve the pain?

Could be a kidney infection call your doc and see what they say good luck!

It might be from stress, but it also might be that as your 'womb' expands (because it does so earlier to help make room for baby to grow), it's pressing on nerves, which makes things hurt. I had trouble with pain in my legs that early in my pregnancy because of pressure on nerves.

Try taking tylenol, and resting with your feet up. If you can stand it, have someone rub at your back where it hurts, that might help relieve the pressure. If none of that hurts, I'd say to speak to your doctor who might, unfortunately, tell you that there's nothing you can do.

Hey there, get it checked out by ur doc, sounds like the location of the pain you are having is right where you kidneys are. Good luck!

My back hurt a lot early in the pregnancy... I think it had a lot to do with the hormones starting to loosen up all of your joints.. but if it doesn't feel like joint or muscle pain defiantely talk to a dr

Thanks ladies. I really hope it's nothing with my kidneys, my friend had kidney issues with her pregnecy and she was miserable, but I'll def check with the doc. I didnt think it could be that serious. I def. think putting my feet up help too.
