Also if the baby was hanging out of you, I think you are confused as to how far along you were. I've miscarried at around 14 weeks, the sac came out and it was the size of a large strawberry.

The only way masturbation would push a miscarriage along was if you had an incompetent cervix, in which case it wouldn't really be your fault.

Orgasms and uterine contractions don't cause miscarriages.

Either way OP, it wasn't your fault.
Miscarriages happen for different reasons beyond your control. Do not feel guilty, it is not your fault.

Yes your uterus CAN contract, but normally they are very small contractions, nothing bad enough to send you into labor. It probably would have happened anyway, honestly.

I masturbate all the time, due to SO being in Cali. Never EVER heard of a miscarriage caused by masturbation.

Sorry for your loss, but like the other ladies said masturbation doesn't cause miscarriages. I masturbated a lot while pregnant and nothing happened.

A normal pregnant woman would never go in to labor because of masturbation. You obviously had something else going on besides masturbation. If they do an autopsy, that might end up giving you more answers. Did you have a UTI or BV or anything?

It's kind of like when I lost my son because my cervix was giving out. If I had just taken it easier and not run around so much .. maybe I would have bought myself a few more weeks of pregnancy. Normal pregnant people don't need to take it easy though and I thought I was normal. If I knew there was a problem, I absolutely would have done bedrest, just like you would have not masturbated if you thought there was a problem.

The truth is that just happened to be the last thing you did before you remember the pain, but you could have just as easily been doing something else that day. Then you'd blame whatever else it was for causing the m/c. Sadly the guilt is the worst part of being a mom when something like this happens.

I just lost my baby 2 days ago. I was 23 weeks pregnant and I had an orgasim (no penetration no sex) and 3 hours later I was having contractions and delivered her 4 hours after the contractions. It was so hard because her heart was still beating and she was moving just before I had to push. She was so beautiful. Heart breaking.

Thank you for this post up until now I was thinking it is all my fault and of course it isn't. I had no idea I had a incompetent cervix if so I wouldn't have had an orgasim.
But when this happens you can't help but think why. The good thing is it can be fixed. Thank you again your post has eased my mind a little.

ITS JUST SOMETHING THAT HAPPEN! NOW IM 29 WEEK WITH MY BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!! GOD GAVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE RIGHT AFTER I LOSS MY FIRST ONE AND I THANK HIM EACH AND EVERYDAY! MY DEAR IT WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU ALSO JUST KEEP PRAYING AND GOD WILL LEAD YOU ON THE RIGHT PATH!! IM SO SORRY ONCE AGAIN BUT DONT STOP TRYING AND ITS NOT YOUR FAULT!
