Caitlynn Maree is here Labor Story (long) UPDATED PICS ADDED

Well my story is pretty easy I guess lol. We were coming home from dinner on sunday and I was like "something isn't right just something doesn't feel right" My back and ribs were hurting, and since I had been having issues with high blood pressure I figured it'd be best to go in. (got there around midnight)

So we go in and I'm having contractions on the way (they didn't hurt) and we get in there and everything freaking stops, but my BP was still high so she did lab work. She told me we'll check the labs and if all is ok you're going home, I asked her to check for dialation and she told me she wouldn't unless there is a reason to (which I'd think an incompetent cervix would be enough reason). So as we are sitting there waiting on my labs Caitlynn gets some horrible hiccups and then some more contractions started. They again weren't painful so I figured ahhh hell we are going home and I was going to be pissed. Well she comes back and says my labs are fine but since I'm contracting she'll check for dialation. I was 3-4 50% thinned. Then she tells me she'll check again in about an hour and if I haven't progressed she'd send me home. I was like   are you freaking kidding me obviously you don't know what an incompetent cervix is because last time I was 4-5 I delivered in 3 hours.

Anyway an hour later she checked and could feel the bag so they sent me up to L&D (3 am). They give me my epi even though I'm still not feeling any bad contractions I mean they didn't hurt at all. So I get my epi and she breaks my water at this time I'm about 6. Anout an hour later I'm feeling a little pressure on my butt so they check again and I'm at 7 (this is really slow compared to my son)

They ended up having to give me mag for my BP and pitocin because it relaxed my uterus. Well my epi started to wear off and I was feeling the contractions now and not just the pressure (still not too painful) So she checks me again and tells me to lay on my right side because I'm an 8 but she could make it a 9 it's just I had more cervix on my right. About 2 mins later I felt the need to push, my midwife comes running in because she just got back from Flordia so she's in reg clothes went in th ebathroom took off her sweatshirt and just put on her scrubs haha. Anyway she goes "oh yeah you could cough this baby out" so as I"m waiting for contractions she's talking to someone saying "just give me 5 mins". It took 3 separate pushes (with 3 pushes each) and Caitlynn was born.

She was 6 lbs 4.8 oz 17.3 inches long and a 13 and a half inch head haha. She has extremely long feet and hands though. Dark brown kinky hair, I don't have any pics uploaded on this computer yet (still at the hospital and my stupid camera went dead) but I'll be updating it.

Btw the worst pain of this whole labor is my uterus going down right now, I honestly had like no pain what so ever my whole labor and I didn't need stitches again  . I did tear just a little though but not enough to need any stitches. Oh and my BP is normal and I'm peeing out all the water weight.





Those are the only 2 I could get off Steve's camera (he was only able to take two before battery went dead) and my camera is still charging.

Right after birth I got to hold her like that for like 30 mins it was an amazing feeling since they just took my son right away after he was born. Btw my face and hands were so swollen along with my feet.

Whoa I didn't realize they got that big at birth lol. She came at 36 weeks 3 days and her head was measureing 39 weeks.

lol It's ok I didn't text you til after she was born. I thought it'd be rude to text you at 3 am saying "hey bitch wake up I'm having my baby"

I'm hoping to get them up today, I've seriously had like 3 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours hahaha.

No poo baby ;) I don't think I had time to with like 5-10 mins of pushing haha. I'm feeling sooooooooo much better and so many nurses and most of my family are saying "your face looks so much better now" lmao those fuckers then they add "well you know because it was so swollen and all." My nurse I have now made me feel all good telling me 1 ltr of pee is 2 lbs I've done that twice during on sitting hahaha. Anyway my ribs are offically mine again
