I don't have an SO lol.

Both my kidlets were preemies (my daughter at 36.6 and my son at 35.2). It was found in my last pregnancy that the placenta was "dead" in spots and wasn't giving my son the nutrients and blood flow that he needed. They were both small for gestational age, which I imagine has to do with the faulty placenta.

Toward the end of the last pregnancy I had PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension). My OB said next time we would have to monitor my placenta and kidneys very closely. The baby would most likely be a preemie as well. I would need to start seeing an OB before I even get pregnant.

All that and then some. Also the chance for another miscarriage as well. I don't want to risk mine or my baby's health so I'd rather get myself fixed and deal with the aftermath later than potentially lose another one now, you know?

Oh, my bad   Should really ask about that stuff before making suggestions lol.
Are they both okay now? No ongoing complications from being premature? The midwife said I may have issues with my placenta, but luckily it was a false alarm. my HCG levels were "of a concern" apparently - i still don't know exactly what that means though. What caused your placenta to die? And hypertension, that's something to do with blood pressure, right? I know next to nothing about that kind of stuff :/ So for things to go smoothly you'd have to be actively TTC so you could monitor things before you got pregnant?
I don't blame you, if I was told there would be risks to me or baby the second time round I'd rather stick around for DS than risk everything to have another.. I wouldn't handle another miscarriage, especially now that I'm in a relationship and know what it's like to carry a baby to term. the last one was bad enough.

i'm not sure how you can tell the difference. i'm pretty sure mine is a period though. the lochia did the come and go thing around 2 weeks and stopped completely by 3 weeks i think. i didn't have any bleeding or spotting since, until a few days ago. i'm 8 weeks PP today, day 4 of bleeding. i would think if the lochia came back it would just be spotting? i'm formula feeding, it comes back sooner than if you breastfeed.

Arielle takes one good nap and few "cat naps" during the day and started sleeping through the night last week. She's been sleeping from around 11pm- 7am. Sometimes she wakes up to eat, but she goes right back to sleep. And sometimes she just wants me to rock her back to sleep. Before last week, she was not sleeping at all during the night.

Mine sleeps pretty good. He's usually down for the night between 10 and 11 after eating. He'll wake up anywhere from 1 to 3. And after that anywhere between 4 and 7, depending on the last meal.

Little dude is 3 months today!

My daughter is 6 and perfectly fine. Super smart. My son is 3 months so I'm not sure how things are going yet. So far there's nothing huge. He's a tad jaundice but that's normal for other babies too. He's smiling and cooing and gurgling and all that stuff. We'll go to developmental appts and whatnot for a while, but I'm not too concerned yet.

I have no idea why my placenta was like that. It worries me though.

And yeah, hypertension is high BP. I was borderline high but with the proteins in my urine they didn't want to chance anything. Plus with all the other crap.

Basically, yeah. I'll probably have to see a doctor every few weeks and get ultrasounds quite often. I have my boy and my girl, my family feels complete, so I don't feel like another pregnancy would be worth it.

Lucas is almost six weeks, and he has his fussy "i'm going to cry no matter what you do" period between 7 and 9-10, then has a feed and nappy change and is usually asleep by 10.30-11 and stays asleep til anywhere between 4 and 6. After that though he's up pretty much every hour-hour and a half demanding boobie. He doesn't sleep long during the day anymore but he sleeps great at night (mostly). It's a pity I can't ever sleep when he is lol

Oh wow, that's scary, I can't imagine how it'd feel to have something wrong and not know what causes it   I'm paranoid though, I have to know EXACTLY what's going on with my baby and my body at all times, and if the midwife didn't tell me I'd pester her until I got an answer. She was very casual about the whole thing though, I'd ask if something was normal and she'd just say "yep" without even checking or doing tests or whatever. Pissed me off to no end.

Aw lucky, I hope my next baby is a girl! I've always wanted two kids, a boy and a girl, but if number two is another boy I'd stretch to three. If number three was a boy, tough smurf, I've got three boys lol. SO would be thrilled

Caelyn is starting to almost sleep through the night...some nights she is still up two times between 11pm and 5am but I don't mind. I'm pretty used to it so when she does sleep through the night it's weird to me ha. Two nights ago she slept from 8pm to 245pm nursed and went back to sleep until 8am! She nursed at 1030 that night but in her sleep and only because I had honestly thought she was awake ha and she had pooped. She still has days where she sleeps a ton. Like today I think she's been up for 45 mins! She was in the car a lot so that is part of the reason but I think she's hitting a growth spurt and possibly fighting off the slight cold all of us have in the house. I have to say I am seriously loving being a SAHM to my kids and am in love with nursing. I just look at her and still can't believe how big she is already. The other day during tummy time she got up on her knees!! she is a scooter and moves a ton and at night when I get up with her she is in a different position and spot in her crib. I think she'll be moving around faster than my son did and he was an early walker( walked at 9mo). She is a super happy baby too and almost never cries she just grunts or fusses when she is hungry or needs a change of diaper or scenery. We are looking forward to a post Christmas trip to a water park/resort with my family and our trip to Disney this May. Can't wait to see how she reacts to all the excitement.
tummy time pictures....how can you not love this face!
