If you want to up your post count....

be sure you're posting meaningful content that doesn't piss the community off

specifically, it is explicitly against the rules to post:

1. empty posts w/ nothing in them (does not include edited and deleted posts)
2. nonsense posts (e.g. ;adigh;ragnd;kfbns)
3. counting posts
4. word-association game (single word posts for the purpose of the game)


If you do any of these sorts of posts, you will be modded, potentially suspended and -- if that doesn't teach you, you risk having your post-count reset.

and then follow w/ something like:

Oh ok. Some people were asking in a thread if it's ok to talk to yourself. If it's not ok make sure you guys put that in the OP.

I really don't see what the big deal is on having a high post count. I mean I am not knocking the rule at all just saying why is having such a high post count a big deal to have to enforce such a rule ya know?

I've been here since Jan. 09 and still haven't gotten my first red number...-shrug-

It was brought up in the mod thread a while back. Then someone made a thread about counting and what not and it just got...reminded that it was a rule that you're not supposed to count or spam the boards in anyways. So Mara reset it because that's what happened last time.

Oh I get that I'm just saying what's the big deal of having 30404985 posts under your belt even if they are nonsense. Doesn't make you any worse or better...or whatever it is the posters go for..
