Yeast infection from hell

I posted a couple of weeks ago about a yeast infection I had that bleached my underwear! at that point I had it for about 2 weeks. Went to the docs & they prescribed me tarazol. Well i used it faithfully for 7 days & the freaking yeast infection is STILL here! thats been 4 weeks now. This can't be normal! anyone else had one this long even after using prescribed meds? Luckily I have my monthly appt on Tues at the doc so i'll mention it to him again that I still have it but dang, i'm sick of it! my poor hubby hasnt got any loving in a while haha!

I was getting them frequently and I couldnt figure out why. I mean I know I was keepin myself clean and all that jazz and I asked my Dr. and she said to watch your diet. What you are eating can cause them, like breads, carbs..etc. I had no idea but I was eating lots of bread and such and I cut back and they stopped. Also like too much soda and stuff can cause them to keep comin bak or last for along time. Hope that helps.

Wow! Thats horrible! Perhaps your doctor will give you something stronger to cure it... I wish you the best with that- yeast infections are terrible!

Yeah I actually get yeast infections quite often for a few years now but this is the first time i've had one last this long. thats why I was kind of wondering about it. Its a nightmare lol. girl I dont know if i could cut out my carbs haha!

Tell me about it! My doc will have to give me something stronger i'll go nuts if i have it any longer!

I know its hard!! When my doc told me that I was like well that makes A LOT of sense bcuz I practically live off of them. lol

i just got over one 2 weeks ago and still dont think it went away..I have a appt this week, so im going to bring it up to my midwife and have her check me..I used the 7 day monistat and i really dont think it worked b/c im still itching and everything..

The monistat burned me sooooo badly so i refuse to use it. I tried it when i first got the infection. Thats why i ended up going to the doc to get a prescription. Tomorrow he'll need to do something about it again lol

tell me about it, i've had a yeast infection practically my whole pregnancy.. everytime i treat it with monistat it goes away for a week, then it comes right back.
since i dont have any insurance right nowcant get a prescription it sucksssss.

That really sucks for you! Anyway the prescription didnt do much for me so you're probably not missing much lol

this time im going to ask for a prescription b/c i really dont think monistat works for me..i have insurance so there shouldnt be a problem writting me a prescription.Do u know what they usually prescribe with a prescription??

They'll examine you first before they'll prescribe you, just to make sure its not any other kind of infection. But I got prescribed tarazol. I dont know if thats something they all prescribe but tahts what i got & it didnt work!

yeah i know i was just wondering what they prescribed, is like a one time use or what.My midwife never mentioned anything about a prescription the last time i was there with a yeast infection she just said to take monistat thats why i was wondering..

I have had a yeast infection that I CAN'T get to go away!!!!!! I am now trying epsom salt in the bathtub. I just have my bf help me out if I need it.....lol I have heard that it has worked for another friend, so I am trying it out now. I just started it last night, so we will see how it works out.

Well they like you to try monistat first & then if it doesnt work they'll prescribe you something. Thats why I got prescribed it because i told them I had used monistat already! The stuff they prescribed me is a 7 day deal thing like monistat!
