Leaking??

So I'm not sure if I'm leaking or not. I know people say you just know when your water broke but I've been getting moments when I honestly feel like I'm leaking. I've had discharge since my 4th month so thats why I'm not sure if its just discharge or my water. I'm not having contractions, atleast regular or painful ones but just wondering if anyone else is having or has had the same thing.

have you smelled your underwear? I hear that if its your water then it usually smells kind of sweet.

I have been to l&d 5 times since 32 weeks... 3 times in the last week and a half.. I have been having soo much discharge and since my bladder doesn't seem to work anymore... If your worried ust go in and get checked. Its always better to be safe than sorry

I'm not sure if you would really consider it sweet or not but it does kind of have a distinct smell. And its not thick or anything like my discharge usually is but does make my liner that I have in damp. I'm debating whether or not to just go ahead and go the L&D just to get it checked out. My doc said if I ever feel like I'm leaking to just go even if I'm not having any noticeable contractions just in case. So i guess I'll wait a little bit and see if I get anymore.

hmm I dont know!! Maybe just see how it goes then decide to go to the hospital or not just to get it checked out!

Could it be pee?? I heard of some ladies leaking pee and not really knowing or feeling like they peed....just a thought. I have had discharge my whole pregnancy ot seems and lately my liner just feels so damp and it is not thick like my typical discharge either.......I am curious about what others have to say......I don't think mine is amniotic fluid yet though!

I am in Jacksonville too.......I live near San Marco/San Jose! Small world.....where are you delivering?

I had the same problem about a week ago, I went in & they told me that in the end of your pregnancy your discharge becomes more liquid like. I thought this was BS considering most of mine isn't (TMI) but they checked me and everything is good. If you're worried, get checked out. Better safe then sorry! Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies. Well I went in everything was negative. Baby is doing good though. She was very active with that monitor on. So looks like not tonight. So basically its just discharge. Well maybe sometime this week she'll decide to come out. Hope everyone else is doing good and I'm off to bed.

haha crazy!!! I lived in OP for YEARS but when i got married I moved to Middleburg(God help me ha). I work at FCCJ downtown though! I'm delivering at Orange Park Med. What about you??

I am delivering at St. Vincents.....We used to live out off 220 near Eagle Harbor. I miss it sometimes, but def not the traffic!

St Vincents is very nice! I'm doing OP med because its closer to my house & my family! Fleming Island area is like its own little town these days haha! When I lived in OP I lived on Argyle. My best friend lives in eagle harbor though. I have a lot of friends that live off of 220. Popular area!

Yeah it is very popular and thank goodness they are getting their own things, I hated going to Orange Park Mall...very scary! I had a friend who delivered at OP Medical and had a great experience.....Good luck!

yeah & now they're in the middle of getting the Oakleaf Towncentre built. Which is great, its right behind my mom's house(where I used to live) & its easy for me to get to it from my house in Middleburg because I dont have to go down blanding! I can just go Brannan field! Love it lol! Yeah i've had tons of friends & family that have delivered at OP med & had wonderful experiences so i'm excited about it!
