My son was born 2 weeks ago and he still has this bump on his head. I delivered via c-section and i dont understand why he would have a bump on his head. I never went into my labor as far as having to push, i was only 4cm dialated when they had to do an emergency c-section becuase his heart rate was dropping and my contractions were to strong for him and because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. What could have caused this? The doctor told me it could have been from pushing but I never did push. I was just laying in the bed and I had got the epidural like an hour before the c-section. I have an appointment next friday to see if it went down but it hasn't and it really has me nervous and depressed. Should i worry? Or will it go away? Have any of you ladies experienced this?

My daughter had a small bump on her head until she was hmm maybe 2 months old. I had a c-section but she was engaged and was pressing on my pelvic bones. That is the reason my OB told me... maybe your son was the same way?

Is there any way you can post a pic so I can see? So that way it's easy for me to see how is head is for me to try and help.

It really has me depressed. All the doctors that saw him said it was from labor. I would say about 3 doctors saw him when i was recovering at the hospital and they said it was from me pushing. i had to keep tellingthem i didn't push. we went tohis pediatric doctor who brought other doctors to check it and theysaid the same thing but to come back in2 weeks to see if it went down. It is still the same. I am so worried now iam in tears. Should i just call to come in sooner? his doctor said she is bookedso i would have to change i guess to another doctor but i feel like they willtoo tell me the same thing.

Its soft, like liquid. That is why the doctors were not too concerned because it is soft. They were feeling on it alot and told me not to worry but how can I not worry.

Try not to be upset (I know its hard) Just maybe call teh ER and ask them what you should do in the morning. I mean if its been there for 2 weeks then 1 more night wont hurt anything. Maybe if you take him to the ER tomorrow they can Xray it or cat scan it to see what it is. They usually will do more with something like this then Dr's will
