back pain after spinal block?

I had a spinal block when I had my daughter in June. I had one in 2007 when I had my son, but never had issues from it. This time though, I have a scar where the needle went in and have had really bad back aches, to the point I can't walk some days, since about 2 weeks PP (roughly the time my C/S incision stopped hurting). How long can this last? My daughter will be 8 months old on the 4th and my doctor just keeps telling me "it can't hurt that bad, we have people with real degrees working here." Basically she thinks I'm lying and pill seeking because I have a past history of addiction and refuses to see me for it  . I think I wanted the pills, I wouldn't have left them in my PP room when I left the hospital after being sliced open to have a baby  . And yes, I'm trying to get in to see some one else, but every time I make an appointment, I get a call the morning of saying I'm seeing my primary instead and I cancel it. If she doesn't believe me, I refuse to see her just to listen to her badmouth me.

my anesthesiologist was a retard and hrut me, and im surprised i dont have back pain from my spinal block. i remember him missing several times, almost enough to where they were going to put me to sleep through my csection if he didnt get ut by the next attempt

Have you tried an entirely different doctors office?

I really don't blame you I wouldn't want to see that dr either.

He had to numb me twice. I screamed so loud the nurse had to go out and reassure my DH that nothing bad had happened. So her whole thing about "doctors with degrees" pisses me off a bit. That's about what my back looked like for weeks after mine too.

that whole experience makes me never want to go through another csection again even though i know all people will be different, and i would hope the next would get it ont he first try

What really ticks me off about her is that I've been clean since my 18th birthday. It'll be 6 years in March. I'm pretty sure I'm not pill seeking at this point, lol.

I'd have to get a referral because I'd have to go off post to go to a different office *sigh*. This freaking sucks.

I didn't even feel my one with my son. That was the only good part of the birth, but still. I was expecting it to be the same this time too and man was I surprised.

I had the worst pain after my last spinal and I'm 13 months PP. I can't really tell you now if my back pain is from being pregnant or from the spinal now but I can't tell you that it does happen and is normally caused by them damaging some nerves. It's like you stomach it may go away over time or it may not, nothing they can really do for it. It sucks and hurts so much most of the time! Good luck hun, they told me there wasn't anything they could do and that it happens.

My oldest is almost 7 and I still have a spot on my spine that is sore  

i too had a spinal block and they did it lower which didnt work then did it higher up which partially worked i felt everything from it and instead of pressure when they took her out i felt pain excruciating pain and now a year later i get severe back spasms that i cant move and it hurts to breathe i see a chiropractor twice a week and now thats not working im at my last end with it the docs say its normal but what i read is saying its not so i think they are covering there asses bc they did some damage i dont know what to do anymore i went to spine specialist and they said that there is nothing wrong and that i need to undergo physical therapy which i did 6 weeks of and it didnt work my back still "goes out" i cant get a mri done bc im claustrophobic and my doc doesnt want to order anesthesia for me to get one done. my mom has issues still to this day from hers my sister is 21 so

I had my Oct 8th and the anesthesiologist had to do it 3 times to get it. I had a bruise almost the size of a softball for almost 6 weeks. My back still hurts extremely bad from it and I also have scoliosis and it has made that pain worst. I am having the same issue with getting something for pain. My doctor wont give me anything and she syas its mucle and keeps sending me to physical therapy and it makes it worst I quit going the third time because my husband kept having to come home from work to take care of our son becuase I couldnt move literally. It hurts so bad there are nights I stay awake and cry and I have a high pain tolerance. after my c section I was only on meds for pain for 4 days and went home with nothing. but my pain is so bad and I have been to two different doctors and they wont give me anything.
