Update on ROMAN 32 weeks 2 days

My lil man is 12 days old.... he weighs 3 lbs and 15 ounces and he went from 3 liters on the nasal canula down to 2 and doing just fine with it =} hes up to 33 cc's every three hours and has no more ivs.... Hes doing great =]
It really bothers me tho... I was asking his nurse how he was doing and he said hes doing great exactly what hes supposed to he doing then he looked at me sad and said its just going to be a long road... I left almoat bawlng that last phrase made me sick... It always makes me feel like hes not going to be ok

Aww try not to worry. Sounds like he is doing great and its just going to be the long road of weight gain. He's made it this far....he's got this and so do you!!

i think what she probably means is hes gonna be there for a long time... not that you might loose him still... relax! its gonna be ok promise!

Sounds like he is doing well! Keep your chin up, nurses don't always have good bedside manners!!! Good luck to you both 

Just try to keep your positive attitude, I am glad to know everything is going good for him !

NOOOOOOOOOOOO he is going to be fine. Don't listen to that idoit. God got him. He is going to be great. Kepp happy thoughts mama.

Sounds like he's doing great! But NICU time is SUCH a rollercoaster. When my DD was there (born at 37w3d but had a birth defect so to the NICU she went) she'd have a great day only to have a horrible night (in addition to the birth defect she started having unrelated seizures so we NEVER knew what the day would bring since to this day we don't know WHY she had the seizures).

Stay strong, he's a fighter, you're a fighter. He's made it this far; think of all that you've BOTH gone thru to get to this point

awww hugs mama. I know the feeling. But the thing with preemies is they tend to amaze ya. And when they start making steps towards going home theres no stopping them. We went from IV's and feeding tube and isolette to no IVs, then no feeding tube, then no isolette. He was home four days after they told us we had a long way to go.

Wow thats nuts!!!!! how long did he end up being in the NICU

he was in the NICU for 18 days not including the day he was born. He came home at 3lbs 13oz.
