Pills to Dry Up Breast Milk

posted 11th Apr
Does anybody know what the pills to dry up breast milk are called?

I asked my daughters doctor if they were safe for me to take and he said they were and he said the name of the pills but I totally didn't understand what he said. Lol.

If anyone knows I will be so greatful.

I thought they were taken off the market and we just have to tough it out now. They're not safe anymore, there were alot of problems with them.

I had pain like hell, but cold cabbage leaves (if you're not breastfeeding) helps tremendously!

How often is she still nursing?? It will go away on its own and probably wont hurt at this point... hand express some if it hurts but you shouldnt pump because then your body will keep making it.

My daughter is 15 months old and won't stop nursing and nurses anytime she thinks she wants the boob. I have tried cutting the nursing down and expressing my milk into a sippy cup for her but doesn't work. So I'm looking for a way to go cold turkey and when I was told about these pills I was like I need that!

And the Pills are still on the market to buy. I called my old doctor that was with me through pregnancy today to ask her about them and she said she won't give me the name of the pill cause she doesn't want to promote it. The pill gives some people seizures, that was the main side effect of the pill from what my doctor was telling me.

I just went through this. I weaned my daughter gradually this past month and was down to one feeding a day when I completely stopped. After that my breasts were so full of milk for one week. I used the cabbage leaves in my bra and had to wait. After one week they are almost dried up.

I used the cabbage leaves too and they really do work. Hubby called me cole (as in cole slaw) for a few about a week though

Ok picturing my hubby trying to sleep with it on is really really REALLY funny to me. He gets irritated when I can't seem to get comfortable. They should make some that kick too so they can experience that all day Lol
