scrapbooking, beading, and crocheting

Those are my favorite interests.. Im still new at scrapbooking.. and need a couple of pointers or ideas  over all though I want to chit chat with other crafty ladies

girl i was never creative until i got married and had kids.. then all of a sudden it was like even the dorkiest thing was adorable or beautiful to me.. it takes time though.. like crocheting.. took me a long time to figure out just the simple stuff.. but ive made a blanket and a few beanies! i still have a ton of things to learn though.. beading is my favorite.. i love making jewelry and stuff

I tried to make a baby blanket when my nephew was born and I became frustrated and never finished. It is funny because he still uses it. I hope that gene kicks in post baby because I've always wanted to be able to do those type of things just never had the drive to finish them

yeah.. it was the same with me. it took me a month and a half to make my sons blanket.. with a bit of trial and error. i did panels.. it was wayyyyyyyyy easier for me to do panels and link them together.. because i could finish one panel in a day and do another the next or some time later that way.. it turned out really nifty.. i plan to add to it as he gets older. i'll shed some creativity dust your way  besides its fun to experiment. and try new things.

i was also a bit sick during my first pregnancy.. so i took it upon myself to make things rather than watching tv.. which was probably the reason why i did so much stuff like that.. heheh

I'm in the middle of making Ted a scrap book! I went to the craft shop last saturday & spent £49  .

I'll show you pictures of it when I'm done, I only have 3 pages so far  

I have a scrap book ready, and a this srap book starter thing my sister bought me and I want to do it so bad but I havent done it yet, but I will post pics when I do! Some idea would be great if you guys have pics of you have done.

Scrapbooking is my passion.
I already have 3 full ones for Ben & he won't be here for another 7wks. lol.
I'll take pics of a few of the pages & show you. Hmm.

&the only tips i have would be to not throw away ANY scraps. I use everything til theres nothing left. Brads work wonders & they're pretty cheap. Shop at Hobby Lobby, they have really good sales, its like every other week or so that all their paper is HALF OFF & then its the same with Scrapbooks, I got a $16 scrapbook for about $4 because they were half off then I printed a coupon from their website for 40% off. I loooove scrapbook and Im really trying to get into beading, crochet jewelry, and wire jewelry. I just dont have the money to buy supplies yet! I love crafting though. Its definatly my passion.
With scrapbooking, just look around you! Anyhing could go in your scrapbook. Also make sure you have acid free glue and paper to keep your photos safe. I just read a book called The Idiots Guide to Scrapbook Projects, its was really great. There were a few chapters on the basics and then the rest of the book is full of different projects.

Those are awesome. I love the dino one. Do you have a diecutter? I really want the Cricut, but it is toooo expensive!

&now ay! I agree that it's too expensive. I just drew it & cut it out by hand. It was really easy. I have a turtle layout too, similar to the dino one. I don't have a printer so I havent done this, but I'm sure you could find templates of animals, etc online & print them out.
