How long after BC...

To make what could be a lengthy story fairly short…

When I was married to my first husband *shudders* he got snippity snipped after our daughter was born and I did not need BC, and AF was regular like clockwork, I also had no problems conceiving with either child…of course I was 21 and 23 for both pregnancies and my eggs were jumping all over the place to get fertilized LOL.

When I met my second husband - who I have been with for 5 years now (celebrating our first wedding anniversary in 3 weeks!) and I got back on BCP’s for 3 years, then Nuvaring for 2 years.

I stopped all BC in March, with the thought we are going to start actively trying in June forour firstchild together and now I’m wondering if maybe we shouldn’t start earlier in case things don’t go the way they did 10 years ago when my youngest was born!!!

I’m basically looking for personal stories of women TTC – how long you stopped birth control before you got pregnant again, or for the first time for that matter. If anyone had problems once off everything, regulating their cycles etc. If anyone has this big of an age difference in their kids too – that would be a bonus!

I was on nuvaring for about 2 yrs also. DH and I got married after 9 yrs together in jan 07. I took out the nuvaring on my wedding night and never put it back in. We got preggo in March 07 suffered a m/c april 30th and had a d&c may 1st. had 2 normal cycles (mind you I have been regular all my life) and got preggo again 2 1/2 mos after my m/c in may. Preggo in aug 07 and about to give birth in 5 wks and 2 days!!! Every woman is different!! I got preggo right away so hopefully you will also!!

I was on the pill for 7 years, and when I stopped taking it I got pregnant right away (never even got my period *lol*) Unfortunately it was ectopic though...

This is my first time being pregnant I stopped taking bc in the end of November and found out I was pregnant in January

Both of my babies were conceived less than 2 months after I stopped taking the pill.

It took 2 years and fertility after BC to conceive my son. This time around...I stopped in February...had a 28 day cycle...and now I'm still waiting on CD30, so it seems as though I may be screwed up again. Good luck, though!

ive always heard that after you stop takin BC your are more fertile so maybe it will happen really soon. good luck!!

i stopped my B/C in october got pregnant in Nov and miscarried in Dec.

I took BC pill for about 7 years. I have been off for a year and I am still having issues with my cycle... but before I went on BC I was never normal. Hope it happens soon for ya! BAby dust!

I was on B/C for 5 years. It took me two years before I got PG with my son after I stopped taking it. I had my son got pg (surprise) with my daughter when he was 9 months. Went on b/c after I weaned her, went off b/c when she turned two,it took 6 months before I concieved last july, three months later I has a missed m/c with twins, now its been almost 6 months since the m/c and still waiting for my BFP. ******BABY DUST*****

I'm sorry to hear that, one of our friends just had an ectopic and is just crushed.

My last pack of pills ended March 3rd, had my period March 5th and now I'm pregnant so it only took us one month of trying. My period is always on like clockwork also. Good luck!

I was on BC pills for 6 years and we tried to conceive right away after I stopped and it took us 7 months to finally get pregnant.
