my daughter is almost 2 weeks old she was born at 36 weeks she recently went from pooping after every feeding to pooping once a day if that but farts alot and when she poops she strains really bad is this normal and what should i do to help her we tried gas drops and they arent helping

I'm sure it's fine, but maybe you could discuss switching formulas with her doctor. Straining doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem.

It's normal as long as she's going..i think DD's pedi told me it can be up to 5-7 days without poop before they worry and as long as it isnt really hard then she shouldnt be constipated.

That's what I was thinking, but for the life of me I couldn't remember if that was BF babies only or not.

DD was FF and thats what her pedi told me..I think BF babies are supposed to go more often then FF babies.

I actually thought it was the opposite? Because breast milk is so perfectly tailored to their needs, that there isn't much left over to dispose of? Idk lol
