re: What would you do?

posted 10th Apr
I fell asleep on my children once back when they were 2 & 3 and at the time they had one of the talk and play kitchen sets and they decided to go in my kitchen and get all the food they could out of the fridge and cook up a big mess in their play kitchen in their room. Needless to say I woke up to a whole pack of turkey meat, cracked eggs, flour, ketchup & cooking oil all over their room and the little kitchen. It was sooooo messy and I was so mad I threw the whole kitchen away that night. My husband thought it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. I didn't quite agree!!!

The culprits are 2 and just turned 5 earlier this week. I am making them clean it all up right now and then they will be spending the rest of the day in their bedroom. Anyone have an idea of how to get choclate frosting off a high ceiling without a ladder?

Oh, I am SOOOO sorry. And I was just complaining about keeping my daughter's diaper on. That seems like nothing after seeing those pictures. Note to self, "Don't ever fall asleep."

I don't know what to tell you. I would have been hysterical when I saw that. Maybe after cleaning their mess they'll think twice about getting into things again.

Oh, they got disiplined   Normally, they are great kids but it seems that when they know they will get in trouble they make sure that it is worth getting in trouble for.

I am sorry to laugh but this was so funny. How did they get it on the ceiling? I have an idea, get a fridge lock and lock up all the food. Thats what I had to do and my life has been so much easier ever since. They sell them at Lowes. I guess maybe a five year old could figure out how to open it though. My son is two and a half and has not figured it out yet. Good luck with getting the stains out.

Well it was frosting out of my pantry. But yeah we do have a lock on the fridge too. It took my 5 year old about 2 days to figure it out, but most of the timeshe doesn't mess with it. Mostly she just sneaks grapes and things like that ,so that, I can handle  They actually had a food fight with the frosting instead of just eating it like any other kids, *sigh*. I got most of it off but there are still little brown marks where it stained the ceiling plaster.

Oh man I am not looking foward to the day that my son figures out the fridge lock. He makes enough mess as it is just with the food that we give him to eat.
