My face is sooo dry!!

posted 9th Apr
I have never had this problem in previous pregnancies. I have switched facial lotions 3 times already. None are working. I normally have very oily skin, so dry skin is...well I dunno if I have ever dealt with it- ever. I can't wear moisturizers that have petroluem products (this includes mineral oil)- gives me a great case of acne! I also can't wear fancy creams with age defying stuff in them or special ingredients that claim to do special things- they cause severe reactions to my poor face.

Years ago I used Oil of Olay but could only use the sensitive one and it worked well because I had oily skin- but right now I need something to moisturize but not leave a slick heavy layer of gunk on my face.

I know, I know- I am picky. My poor face can be sensitive!

Does anyone have any recommendations? I have been using Burt's Bees (various types of BB) and a brand no one here has probablyheard of but also is a natural productwhich has been just fine up until the past month or so. My skin is sooo dry it flakes and I get red itchy patches.

Orrrrr if anyone else has experienced super dry skin (which is abnormal for them too)- did it pass? Should I wait it out? Maybe it will get better as the weather warms up?

Thanks!

Thanks for any suggestions!

I don't know if it has the whatever you can't use in it or not, but I had the same problem and I use "Do it Daily" by Benefit and it's completely cleared up the dry red patches I had. I also use their "That Gal" face primer, it's like an additional moisturizer.

have you tried dermilogica's intsenive mousturizing products. or moisture surge from clinque? none of dermilgica's products have any oil in them and are very benifical for your skin.

I usually have some area's where my face is dry and I have always been acne prone. The best mosturizer I have ever found is Clinique's "Dramatically Different Lotion." It is simply the best and doesn't leave a greasy film, nor does it break my face out. I have this pregnancy though not needed it as my face has been the opposite and has been oily so I am currently using Clinique's "Dramatically Different Gel Lotion" which is water based and less mosturizing but still work great! Good luck
