formula emergency!

posted 9th Apr
So my daughter is two months old, and the last few days she's been super fussy (compared to her usual mellow self) when it comes to eating her formula, my doctor never tells me when to increase her formula...how much should she be eating at 9 weeks? It seems like the 5-6 oz isn't every 3 hours isn't doing the trick anymore. Any suggestions?

My doctor said we didnt have to ask them to increase it whenever we thought my son needed it, just to do it at our discretion.

My son still wants to eat every couple hours, about 7 ozs. Hes four months in 3 days.

Just feed her whenever she seems hungry til you see a pattern, and give her gas drops every feeding to help with the change.

Might want to try to up it. That's what my 4 week old takes every 3-4 hours.

Every baby is different. As her parent, you have to go with what is working. When you say it's not working, does she get hungry sooner or seems hungry after the bottleis gone?

I would try upping her meal by an ounce and see what happens. If she still seems hungry then another ounce. I'd go an ounce at a time..

I think that you should call the pedi because it seems like a lot of formula he/she may have a suggestion like putting cereal in the bottle. I know it's not the best for babies that young but sometimes they recommend it if they don't get full with a certain amount. BTW how much those your baby weight? I've read that you're suppose to give babies 2.5 oz of formula per lbs in 24hr, meaning to multiply your baby's weight x 2.5 and that's the amount of formula for 24 hrs.

make a bigger bottle.

He will stop eating when he is done.

After reading all this. I feel like my kid is a fatty. Lol. She's a month old tomorrow and takes 5-6 ozs every 3-4 hours during the day, and 4-5 hours at night.

My son is constantly puking. I just started him on cereal to see if that helps.

Yep, they just upped his dosage, so it might just need to kick in. It's axid.

What medication is he on? Bryson was on Zantac which didn't help at all and then was on Prevaicd and he helps him and his reflux was gone within 2 weeks of taking that.
