baby pooping breaks my heart.

ok,. for the past 2 weeks ive been having problems with my son pooping. well, first he was constipated. now, when he poops it has some blood. Plus, to make it worse its painful to him, because he yells uncontrolably when he poops.its breaks my heart to se him suffer like that. i dont know what the hell to do.
i took him to the er, and all they gave him was mineral oil.
ive changed his milk to soy
i do the legg extersices..
im going nutts!!
any of you had the same problem? and what did you do..i dont know what to do, i freeken cry with him..

My daughter has a problem with constipation. This came directly from my pediatricians mouth.

First off, call the pediatrician... blood in the stool and diaper is worrisome... he could be tearing a little. They may be able to do something more for him than the oil.

In the mean time, stop all rice cereal if he is eating. Rice is a binder and will clog baby up quicker than quick. Go to strictly breastmilk or formula. Also stay away from bananas too. They are considered a binding food as well.

Try giving 2 oz of baby prune juice or reg apple juice. Don't water it down. Loses its bang for it's buck.

Also, try giving small amounts of water in between milk bottles if he takes a bottle.

aww poor little girl!! My pedi told me today that generally soy makes their stool harder....not HARD hard but just more formed.. and she also reccomended 1oz prune juice mixed with 1oz water to help her out if she needs it. She told me some babies need it daily and its okay..but I'd still talk to your pedi asap

hes only 3 weeks? prune juice is ok? im only giving formula...i went to 4 diffrent doctors, and they all look at me like im crazy...and say its normal..

i mean poor lil guy!!! I had that first.. then changed it.. my bad lol
