2 days, and that was just because we didn't know if he was going to be able to control his own body temp. He was able to eat and everything on his own. The night before I was discharged the put clothes and a hat on him and put him in my room with me and a nurse came in every 30 minutes and took his temp and it turned out he was doing great. He came home with me when I was discharged so I didn't have to leave him in the hospital.

My son was born at 33 weeks 5 days and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. They were the longest 3 weeks of my life! We were there only for him to learn how to eat. We were trying to breastfeed exclusively, but ended up having to try the bottle at the end of our stay. After we tried the bottle, he did great with it and we went home 3 days later. We worked on breastfeeding at home (and I pumped like crazy to keep supply up). My son is now 14 weeks and just started being able to breastfeed without a nipple shield. Now all he wants is to nurse ALL the time! It's not easy because I'm back at work now. Good luck to you and your little one.

Eating is our main problem now. I'm also trying to EBF. I'm really hoping we can do this!

My baby was only in for twp weeks

my daughter was a 36 weeker and had to stay for 4 weeks. every baby is different. stay strong mama!

my son was born at 34 weeks and wasnt in the nicu at all. he went straight to transition and stayed there a week and 2 days. I had a steriod shot at 33 weeks and 6 days..right before i had him. but every baby is different. Good Luck!

My first daughter was born at 35 weeks and only had to stay in the regular nursery for 3 extra days because of jaundice. My second was born at 34 wks 1 day, and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. I had to be induced really quickly because of pre-eclampsia so I only had time to get 1 steroid shot- she had to be on oxygen and had to learn how to eat, then she got to come home. She came home on oxygen and had to use it for 3 more weeks, but it was so much better to have her home than in the hospital.

my 33 weeker spend a month

I delivered my daughter at 34 weeks 4 days .. i had to have an emergency c section because i developed helps syndrome .. after complaining for about 2 months about the swollen ankles and horrible back pain the last week of my pregnancy .. that my dr just brushed off as "normal" pregnancy pains .. it ended up that the pain in my back was my liver and kidneys starting to shut down .. i went into the hospital thursday at 1130am and because of all the problems my blood pressure went through the roof and i had not seen my daughter until 8pm friday night ... itsbeen about 2 weeks and my daughter is still in the NICU beacuse she wont eat from the bottle
