Hi March mommies, my son Mason is six weeks and two days old. He started smiling at five and a half weeks. Just yesterday he started making little cute baby sounds. This morning was great he was smiling a whole bunch and making those adorable sounds. He doesn't sleep through the night yet he wakes up about three times. Last night was a good night he went to sleep at 10:30 and slept till 3:46 thats the longest stretch of sleep I have had in a long time. I fed him and he went back to sleep at 4:20 and slept till 7:00 fed him again and went to sleep till 9:30. So that was a good night for me. I am still worried about his eye and I am going to get it checked out by another doctor thats a pediatric opthamologist. Its really not very noticable and hopefully its nothing I just need to make sure cause the other doctor only looked at him for like two seconds. Mason is a pretty easy going baby lately and if he fusses I can put him in his swing and he goes right to sleep. I love him he is a lot of fun.

enfamil gentlease helps with gas and fussiness ... read about it on the enfamil site. Helps my Emily. She still has the gas, but is able to pass it more easily and I don't have to use the drops much.

Did your doctor have any concerns about corn syrup being the main ingrediant in enfamil gentlease? That is my only concern about that specific formula when I looked into it.

No, in fact he highly recommended it. now you have me wondering what about the corn syrup? Reason asking is when I was a baby my mom,used it in warm water to ease us for gas and constipation and it was what I used on all the babies I kept over the years for the same thing. Is there something new about it?

No I've just read "debates" on obesity in kids who took in a lot of corn syrup (or sugars) from it being in formula. I was going to ask my doctor about it next week at Elijah's 4 week check-up. As long as your baby is not extremely chunky I don't think you'll have to worry about it. I didn't mean to make you nervous or anything.

Wooo scared me there for a second! lol Seems there is always a debate on something. Seems what is good for ya today is bad for ya tomorrow! Emily will be 6 weeks old saturday and on her April 8th (1 mt. check) she weighed 9 lbs. 11& 1/2 oz.

So how many of you March mommys have got their first PP period?

mine is still MIA too. though im still bleeding a tiny bit from delivery. he was born on march 24th, so i expect to stop bleeding soon, i hope!

hey mommies! my son will be one month on tuesday!!! i cant believe how time flies. at birth he weighed 8lbs11oz! and he went to the doctor at three weeks for thrush and he weighed 10lbs!!! geez hes such a chunk a lunk! he eats 4-5oz every 3-4hours so he is steady gaining weight i dont think my arm strength can keep up...might have to start weight lifting lol! 10lb baby + 10lb carseat=very sore arm lol! Hope everyone is doing great!

Same here, my son was born on the 24th as well and I'm still bleeding on and off from delivery. I don't expect to have a period for another couple of weeks. For mommy's still within their 6 weeks, what have doctors told you, you can do for working out? My doc said I can do pretty much anything, just use bleeding as my cue. If I start to bleed too much after a certain exercise, he told me I'm doing too much and should wait a little longer to do it again. Also, how long did you all wait to have sex?

im still bleeding off and on too... my son just turned 3 weeks yesterday... im still a lil sore from the tear, so i havent had sex, but my god im dying to! i hate playing this waiting game, but at least the time is going by pretty quick for me

still havent had sex and monday will be 4 wks PP. hubby is dying to though!

Havent had the PP period yet but then again I am still bleeding at 3 1/2 weeks so its just as annoying as a period...I heard that if you breastfeed that it can be suspended as well...in which I am...Only a couple more weeks and I can go on bc again...thank goodness. Thinking of Mirena...Havent been able to have sex yet either and my husband is upset...

im doing pretty good though...Ricky is staying up longer during the day and sleeping better at night...only waking up 2 times...He's kind of started smiling...he grunts when you tickle his tummy..I cant believe he'll be a month next tuesday...he's getting so big!

but im doing pretty good..its nice to get a little more sleep...I drink a cup of coffee inthe morning and im good to go all day....
