I will be having my 3rd c-section, VBAC was never a option because of my blood pressure... I would have loved to have tried it though! The 2nd c-section was easier than the 1st because it was scheduled and I knew what to expect... alot less stressfull!!!

i tried to have a vbac amonth ago.. if it hadnt of been for the car accident i had had a month prior to givin birth i would have been able to have a vbac.
i wanted one so badley bc i didnt get to go into labor with my daughter and i felt cheated and not like a woman...
i got to go through 24 hours of labor with my son with no pain meds and i porlly would have tried for a little longer if the doctor hadnt of mentioned the need for a c section.
i now feel like more of a woman than what i did 3 years ago when Angel was born, i no longer feel cheated.

no matter what theres a 50/50 chance you will have to have a c section. my advice would be go for it, its one of the best things ive done or well attepted to do.
i just wish when we have our next child i could do the same

I'm due next week and am planning on a VBAC. The risks were a little scary when they reviewed it with me, but I'm sure the risks with EVERY type of delivery can be nerve wracking. (You risk rupturing your uterus during contractions, which can cause the threat of brain damage or death to the baby, but it's very rare they said)

I had a vbac with my second. It was so much easier and an amazing experience. I wanted to do it again with my son, but he was being stubborn and was breach. The second c-section was alot esier than the first because it was a planned one, but i loved having Jasmin naturally.

I had to have a c-section for my daughter because she was breech and didn't have much amniotic fluid in there so they said she would have to come out. (Only 6 days before her due date) And with my son they gave me the option of a VBAC and I told them Heck Yeah! There was no way I wanted to go thru another c-section by choice. And labor and delivery were the easiest things ever. I didn't eventake drugsand I was back on my feet so much quicker! So this time around I'm doing another natural birth...

Ok after reading your post, i am confused. I had a csection when with my first baby, and have the option of having a VBAC with the second, it is my choice. Although my doctor told me that when he was a resident he saw one baby die bc a womans uterus burst, and another women almost die bc she lost so much blood. So as soon as he told me that i said no way am i having a VBAC, for the reason that it is selfish to me, to have a VBAC just so i can have the experience of pushing a baby out. when i am risking that babies life! How would i feel as a mom if i chose to have a VBACand my baby died! ALthough i would really really love to experience birth naturally, it isnt worth the risk to me!

How old is your first baby now? If it's been a while the risk is very very low of rupturing your uterus. My daughter was 3 and my doctor told me there was maybe a 1% chance of that happening because my body had so long to heal.

My oldest is only 7 months old, but I'm currently 15 wks pregnant. I had a section with my first b/c she was breech and refused to turn (we tried doing a version twice). At my first appointment, I asked my midwife if I could do a VBAC because it's really important to me to have that experience. I expressed to her my concerns about my uterus rupturing, etc, and she told me that there have been studies done that have determined that time betweendelivery of Baby Aand possible VBAC (of 2nd child) have no effect on whether or not an actual uterine rupture would occur. She also said that it's very rare it would actually happen. If it was to happen, keep in mind that we are in an advance technological society.. there are precautions they take.

I just had my second c-section and it was so much easier than the first! Not only becuase it was planned but the recovery was faster and easier. I was very stressed and nervous that day though, but only because I had time to think about everything that was going to happen. C-section's are typically harder to heal from if you labored and then had to have a csection.
