Some questions

okay so i have alot of things on my mind...i am due in 17 days and one thing i was wondering is when you have the baby does all the amniotic fluid come gushing out when the baby does? how does your body get rid of it all? or is it over time after the baby?

and than does the placenta just birth right after baby also?

Your water will continue to come out until after you deliver the baby and placenta. And yes you deliver afterbirth after the baby is born. Good luck, you are so close!

The amniotic fluid comes out before the baby is born and during delivery.

And the placenta comes out right after the baby is born too but you do have to "deliver" it as well with pushing.

My sister just had her baby on Feb 24th, and she had me come up there to see what I was in for. Well right after the baby came out, he was followed by a HUGE gush of fluid, that looked like someone had taken a bucket of water and threw it at her dr!! It soaked the dr's shoes, and bottom of her pants! lol I don't think that is completely normal, but it was funny!! The dr just made a tiny face, checked everything over, and then said, "I think I need to go change"

That is a great explanation thanks for the reply, thats kind of how i pictured it in my mind? i'm a new mommy and know nothing, and i read all the time. ahhh. thanks!

so what about mommys who have C-sections, i'm not but jsut wondering how does that work?

I'm pretty sure that they just take all that stuff out when they cut you open
