How long was ur preemie in the NICU?

thier gestational age when born, weight, weight whan the left and age when they left?  

Mine was 6 weeks early
Weight-5lbs 10ounces
Weight when we left was the same as birth
He left after 4 days in the nursery  

I was a preemie but this was back in '88 so obviously times have changed and they have alot more knowledge and equipment to get your child back to you a.s.a.p.

I was born at 27 weeks, weighed 2 lbs. 2 oz. then lost a lb the next day. I was there for a little over 3 months and I can't remember what my mom said the exact weight on my release but I know it was near 5 lbs. That's what they try to get the babies to before they go home.

But like I said that was almost 20 years ago so it's probably not like that anymore unless necessary.

Current issues include multiple heart defects &severe bpd/chronic lung disease, resulting in signs of heart failure and prolonged time on ventilation and tube feedings.

mine was a miracle.. getsational age..34 weeks... weight: 4 1/2 pounds.....since doc suspected a premature delivery (I have PCOS) he put me on steroids to mature his lungs) ..was born by emergency cesarean cuz no amniotic fliud left.
He was screaming and very strong.. was in NICU 24 hours. I was lucky that he was the strongest preemie there.. I had him in my roon the very next da, no tubes, nothing at all...I guess I was very lucky.. I have seen preemies that are mostly tubes.. I cry so hard ...I love babies and would do anything to have more.. but I can't.. I miscarried two angels.. I wish they were here with me.. playing with my son....my little boy, he obviously wanted to live...aaaww my little fellah. Here he is 3yrs old now, spoiled rotten and he was conceived on fertility drugs!!!! He is my absolute miracle and reason to live!!!!

Went home at 5 and a half weeks old (34 weeks gestation) 4lbs 5oz

My son was a 30 weeker
3lbs 5oz 16.5in
34 days in NICU
Went home at 5 weeks old (35 weeks gestation) 5lbs 6oz

Hayden was born at 30 weeks. He was 3 lbs 8 oz. He went home at 6 1/2 weeks (36 weeks gestation) and weighed 6 lbs 2 oz

Aidan was born at 31 weeks. He weighed 3lbs 12oz and was 16.1 inches long. He was in the NICU for 6 weeks and weighed 4 lbs when he came home.

My son was a 32 weeker was 4 pounds 12 ounces 18 3/4 inches longwhen born was in the NICU for 3 weeks came home at alittle over 5 pounds First picture is of him a few days old second picture is him the day he was born.

Averie was born at 35 weeks, Feb 27 07. she was due, 4-2-07
weighed 3lbs 12 ozs. 16.5 inches long.
she came home, march 20, 07 and weighed 4lbs, 6 ozs. she was 4.5 weeks old when we brought her home!
she is now 13.5 months, and weighs 19lbs!

My son was born at 31 weeks 3lb 11 oz. with his intestines out side his belly


after the surgery 4lbs

home at 38 weeks at 6 lbs and healthy with a few complications..still on two medications

You probably already know my info but.. Ryan was born at 30w2d at 3lb even and came home at 5lb3oz and 36w1d gestation now at 11 weeks he's 7lb

Wow, that's great! He's really caught up in growth! My daughter was 18 pounds at her first birthday!
