re: How long was ur preemie in the NICU?

My daughters were born at 27 weeks, December 24, 2007.

Payten Jillian
birth: 2 lbs. 5 oz. (1040 g), 37.5 cm
68 days in the NICU
discharge: 6 lbs. 5 1/2 oz. (2876 g), 47.5 cm
*went home on caffeine and apnea monitor

Jordyn Paige
birth: 2 lbs. 6 oz. (1074 g), 35 cm
67 days in the NICU
discharge: 6 lbs. 7 oz. (2921 g), 46 cm

my son Jameson was born at 36 3/4 weeks weighing 5 pounds 13 ounces, he was in nicu for 11 days, now 5 weeks old weighs 8 pounds 9 ounces

My daughter was born at 26 weeks 14 weeks early, weighing 2 pounds and 6.9 ounces, she was in the nicu from May 13 to October 29. Many infections including meningitis. She is four now every day is a new day for us. We are very proud of her!!

My son Jesus was born @ 27 weeks. and he was 1 lb 08 oz.... he spent 79 days in the hospital and was 4 lbs 14 oz when he came home last April. [[ he came home 04.20.07 ]].... Now he's 20 lbs and is huge!! lol

poeple dont realize how hard it is to have a NICU baby they were like wow at least you get to rest when you leave the hospital... I was likeno I dont becuse i dont go home till after her 11pm feeding and i'm back up there for her cluster care by 7:30 to feed her at 8.... I am SO HAPPY to have her home it's crazy...

i had Christian at 35 weeks and 6 days. he weighed 5 lbs 15 oz. he dropped down to 5 lbs 9 oz by the time i took him home. he was in the nicu for 8 days and he is now 6lbs 2 oz!

Ian and Alex were 30 weeks old when born - Alex was 4lbs, Ian was 3 1/2 lbs.

They came home with me on March 14th and weighed just about 6lbs each at the time. They spent all of February in NICU and then the first two weeks of March were in continuing care. Alex needed more help than Ian, but they didnt want to release one without the other to make it easier for us (which we appreciated!).

Lucas was born at 32weeks 5 days ...Weighed 4lbs 13oz. Was in the NICU for 3 weeks exacty..im not sure what he weighed when he came home.. I have it written down somewhere..Probalyb 5 1/2 lbs or something

My son was born at 31 weeks. He weighed 3 lbs 13 oz and was 17 inches long. He stayed in the NICU for a little over 5 weeks. We've been home now for a couple of months and he is doing just great! At 3 months he weighs 10 lbs and 8 oz. He rolled over for the first time last night....it was so cute!

my daughter was born on the 27th of december 2004at 26 weeks and she was 1lb 12oz at birth.she was ventilated for 2 weeks then on cpap for 2 weeks.they let her come home on the 21st of march 2005weighing 5lb 5 oz,she now suffers from 4 limbed cerebal palsy and hydrocephalus.i also losta very special little boy at 23 weeks and he was 1lb 5oz at birth born on the 27th of february 2004.

My son a former 27 weeker was in the nbicu for 6 months.

My baby was 8 weeks early, he was 4lbs n he left the hospital at about 5 lbs and was in the NICU for 2 weeks. The only problem my baby is having is his heart murmer.

I was born 4weeks early with the exact same issues...23 yrs later...I am living proof the he/she will survive...Good luck and stay strong.(granite I still have the BPD, with a heart murmur and slightly enlarged heart, but i hope this helps)
